The accused have been recognized as Narasimha Rohidas (50), a resident of Rahangi and Ramniwasi Meher (52), a resident of Mudhipar. They had been carrying cow meat in a sack. Bilaspur Superintendent of Police (SP) Parul Mathur stated that round 50 locals reached the police station together with the 2 accused and lodged a criticism that they had been promoting cow meat by carrying it in a sack.
