21.06 lakh farmers register on e-procurement portal Food Minister Shri Singh reviews procurement registration Bhopal: Tuesday, February 23, 2021, 19:07 IST 21 lakh for selling wheat on support price in Rabi marketing year 2021-22 6 thousand farmers have registered on the e-procurement portal, which is one lakh 59 thousand more than the previous year. Food and Civil Supplies and Consumer Protection Minister Shri Bisahulal Singh and Cooperative Minister Shri Arvind Bhadauria reviewed the rabi yield with the officials. The target of storage of 145 lakh metric tonnes of produce, the Minister said that this year 125 lakh metric tonnes of wheat, The target of storage of 20 lakh metric tonnes of pulses and oilseeds has been set. According to the procurement estimates, the storage, transportation, gunny bags and financial arrangements are being prepared by the department. He said that pulses and oilseeds will be procured at the warehouse-level centers on priority, so that the stock can be transported and stored at a rapid pace. Efforts will be made so that the already acquired wing can be transported and stored before the rain. This will prevent damage from rain. For the convenience of the farmers, wheat will be procured at about 4500 centers as per the last year. Principal Secretary Food Mr. Faiz Ahmed Kidwai informed that the work of farmer registration is being done at 3518 centers of the state. Apart from this, the facility of registration has also been provided to farmers at Girdawari Kisan App, Common Service Center, Kiosk. Last year, 45 lakh 7 thousand hectare area was registered for wheat. So far 42 lakh 87 thousand hectare area has been registered. The registration date has been extended till February 25 for all farmers to be registered. In addition to the minister, in the meeting, Managing Director Markfed Mr. P. Narhari, Managing Director Civil Supplies Corporation Mr. Abhijit Agarwal, Director Food and Managing Director Warehousing Logistics Corporation Mr. Tarun Pithode and other senior officers of Cooperative Department were also present.
