Prime Minister on 17 September Narendra Modi It’s the birthday of. He was born on 17 September 1950 in Vadnagar, Gujarat. To make his birthday special, BJP is preparing to organize many programs across the country. Narendra Modi became the Prime Minister of the country for the first time in 2014. Since then he has taken many tough decisions. His decision not only shocked, but also changed the face of the country. So, on the occasion of his birthday, let us know about his five decisions, which changed the condition and direction of the country.

1. Demonetization

Demonetization will always be remembered as the biggest and toughest decision of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. Addressing the people of the country at 8 pm on 8 November 2016, he announced the demonetization of 500 and 1000 rupee notes. After which there was a stir across the country. He had given three big reasons behind demonetization, one was to attack black money, second was to fight corruption and third was to stop terrorist funding. The round of discussion and debate continues till date regarding this decision of PM Modi. Even today the opposition says this decision is wrong, while BJP says this decision is right.

2. Law on Triple Talaq

The second biggest decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi during his tenure has been to implement the triple talaq law. In his second term, Modi made a law regarding triple talaq and gave great relief to Muslim women. The Triple Talaq Bill was passed in Parliament on August 1, 2019.

3. Abolition of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir

The biggest decision taken by the Central Government under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra has been the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir. By abolishing Article 370, the Modi government ended the special status of Jammu and Kashmir and made it a Union Territory. BJP had announced the removal of Article 370 in the manifesto.

4. GST

Prime Minister Narendra Modi took a big decision during his tenure by bringing GST law. Modi government had implemented Goods and Services Tax across the country on July 1, 2017. Its objective was to implement a single tax system across the country. There was a huge uproar over this decision of the Modi government. Even today the opposition is calling this decision of the Modi government wrong. On the other hand, BJP has called it a historic decision of PM Modi.

5. CAA

The Modi government had passed the Citizenship Amendment Act in Parliament in 2019. Its objective is to give Indian citizenship to minorities (Hindus, Sikhs, Christians, Parsis, Jains and Buddhists) coming from Pakistan, Bangladesh, Afghanistan. With the approval from the President, it became a law and was implemented across the country from January 10, 2020. There was a huge uproar over this decision of the Modi government and the opposition fiercely targeted the Modi government.
