Provision for government college in Sakri and government girls college in Takhatpur to be made in the next budget
CM Baghel today attended Teeja Milan programme held in Takhatpur area of Bilaspur today. In the programme, Chief Minister made several important announcements in response to the demands of local citizens. Chief Minister announced that SDO Revenue Office will be opened in Takhatpur. Chief Minister said in his address to the programme that the demands of government girls college in Takhatpur and government college in Sakri will be incorporated as provisions in the next budget. He also announced introduction of dairy-related curriculum in Takhatpur College. Chief Minister said in the Teej Milan programme that fire brigade vehicle will be provided to Takhatpur Municipal Council after examination.
Home and PWD Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu, Takhatpur MLA Mrs. Rashmi Ashish Singh, Advisor to Chief Minister Mr. Pradeep Sharma, Commissioner Bilaspur Mr. BL Banjare also witnessed the programme besides the large number of womens and public representatives.
Extending warm greetings of Teeja festival to women, Chief Minister said that it is an important festival of Chhattisgarh, to celebrate which married women come all the way to their parents house. State Government has taken the initiative to conserve indigenous culture and tradition. In the same sequence, State Government has declared general holidays on the festivals such as Hareli, Teeja, International Day of World’s Indigenous People and Chhath. Declaration of public holiday on important festivals of Chhattisgarh has stirred a wave of joy among people of the state.
He said that celebration of ‘Poshan Maah’ has been commenced with ‘Pora Tihaar’ with the goal of turning the vision of Well-Nourished Chhattisgarh into reality. September month would be observed as Poshan Maah, under which public awareness campaign would be conducted regarding eradication of malnutrition in children and anemia-malnutrition in women. Mr. Baghel said that Poshan Abhiyan would be a public movement to create a healthy and well-nourished Chhattisgarh. Chief Minister said that from October 2, state-wide implementation of Poshan Abhiyaan would begin. In his address to the programme, Chief Minister mentioned about Narva, Garva, Ghurva aur Bari Yojana and said that this scheme would accelerate economic growth of Chhattisgarh. He said that agro-based industries would be promoted in all the development blocks of the state. PWD Minister Mr. Tamradhwaj Sahu also addressed the programme.
