Gurugram: A person and a lady had been compelled to cough up Rs 1.40 lakh by a pretend policeman who extorted the cash threatening to border them below cost of constructing out in a public place, police stated on Friday. The victims, who work in the identical agency, had been sitting in a automotive close to Kingdom of Heaven on Wednesday round 8.15 pm, once they had been approached by a person carrying a police uniform. In line with the criticism filed by Shubham Taneja, a resident of Sector-9, he was approached by the pretend police and was requested to decrease the window. The person, Taneja alleged, took mobiles telephones and id playing cards of each of them and threatened to take them to the police station. He then requested them to pay Rs 2 lakh in bribe in the event that they needed to go.

“We each withdrew Rs 1 lakh from our ATM playing cards,whereas Rs 40,000 had been stored within the automotive. After taking Rs 1.40 lakh, he returned our telephones and id playing cards and fled. We went to our properties and filed a criticism on Thursday,” Taneja stated.
