Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Friday pushed for linking farmers on to the market and eradicating intermediaries, with the target to enhance the revenue of farmers.
Talking on the inauguration of the Odisha Agri Conclave 2021 through videoconference, Patnaik mentioned the emphasis of the state authorities is to boost the revenue of farmers.
“We should reply to the dynamics of the market. We have to streamline their connectivity to the aggregators and processors to play the function of producers. We have to take away intermediaries who don’t add worth to the provision chain,” Patnaik mentioned.
“Farmers lay the muse of the nation’s economic system… The event of agriculture and the empowerment of farmers is our precedence,” Patnaik mentioned.
