New Delhi: Punjab Congress chief Navjot Singh Sidhu and a few Punjab Cupboard ministers and others have been detained on Thursday on the Haryana-Uttar Pradesh border in Saharanpur as they have been enroute to Lakhimpur Kheri. Sidhu threatened to go on starvation strike if motion will not be taken towards the minister’s son by Friday.
They have been staging a sit-in protest on the border demanding the arrest of Union Minister Ajay Kumar Mishra`s son Ashish Mishra in reference to the demise of farmers through the violence that erupted throughout farmers’ protests on Sunday (October 3) which result in the demise of eight folks.

Sidhu was accompanied by Deputy Chief Minister Sukhjinder Randhawa and cupboard ministers Pargat Singh and Vijay Inder Singla, moreover former ministers Balbir Singh Sidhu, Gurpreet Kangar and Sunder Shyam Arora and different leaders.
