Opposition’s vice presidential candidate Margaret Alva on Monday stated she was unable to make or obtain calls from her cell, and in a tongue-in-cheek remark promised government-owned telecom operator MTNL that she wouldn’t name any MP from the BJP, TMC or BJD tonight if it restores her cellphone. Taking to Twitter, Alva posted a communication from Mahanagar Phone Nigam Restricted (MTNL) which stated that her MTNL KYC had been suspended and her SIM card can be blocked inside 24 hours.
Tagging the communication, Alva stated, “Pricey BSNL/ MTNL, After talking to some pals within the BJP right this moment, all calls to my cell are being diverted and I am unable to make or obtain calls.”
“If you happen to restore the cellphone. I promise to not name any MP from the BJP, TMC or BJD tonight,” she stated. “You want my KYC now,” she requested. Alva has been fielded by the Opposition in opposition to the ruling NDA’s Jagdeep Dhankhar – the governor of West Bengal who resigned from the publish on July 18. The Mamata Banerjee-led Trinamool Congress, which governs West Bengal, has introduced it would abstain from the election.
