Prime Minister Narendra Modi will likely be taking part within the upcoming G20 Extraordinary Leaders’ Summit on Afghanistan on October 12 in digital format. The Summit is being convened by the G20 Italian Presidency.
“On the invitation of the Italian Presidency of the G-20, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will take part within the upcoming G20 Extraordinary Leaders` Summit on Afghanistan on 12 October in digital format,” the Ministry of Exterior Affairs mentioned in a press release on Monday (October 11).

The agenda of the assembly will embody a dialogue on response to humanitarian wants and entry to primary providers and livelihood; safety and the struggle in opposition to terrorism; and mobility, migration and human rights. PM Modi had earlier participated within the SCO – CSTO outreach Summit on Afghanistan.
Exterior Affairs Minister S Jaishankar participated within the assembly of G20 International Ministers on Afghanistan on the margins of the UN Basic Meeting in New York. The G20 includes 20 of the world’s main economies and is a vital platform to assist construct worldwide consensus and facilitate a coordinated method between multilateral organisations, together with the UN and its businesses, and international and regional actors to handle the worsening humanitarian disaster in Afghanistan.
