Two extra cops arrested in Kanpur businessman homicide case | Information

New Delhi: Two days after the arrest of two policemen, two extra had been arrested on Tuesday (October 12) in Kanpur businessman Manish Gupta’s homicide case.
The SIT has declared a reward of Rs 1 lakh on every of the cops.
Superintendent of Police (Metropolis) Sonam Kumar stated, “Accused inspector Rahul Dubey and constable Prashant have been arrested in reference to the homicide of businessman Manish Gupta. SIT had introduced a money reward of Rs 1 lakh.”
On Sunday, suspended cops Inspector JN Singh and sub-inspector Akshay Mishra had been arrested in the identical case.
Manish Gupta (36) died in a Gorakhpur lodge throughout a police raid. He was staying together with two buddies within the lodge. Police had earlier denied the cost and stated he obtained a head damage after he fell on the bottom as he was drunk.
Later, it was discovered that he died after police thrashed him. A case of homicide was then registered towards six policemen.
In the meantime, the spouse of the businessman, Meenakshi Gupta, has demanded capital punishment for the accused.
“The accused cops should be hanged as a result of they killed my husband for no obvious fault of his,” she stated.
