Lucknow: In a major transfer, the Yogi Adityanath authorities in Uttar Pradesh authorities has now determined to undertake a probe of all of the properties registered below the Waqf Board. In line with studies, the state authorities has requested district administrations to undertake a survey of such properties and submit the studies inside a month.
The official spokesman of the UP authorities stated that Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has ordered the investigation of all properties that have been registered after ‘flouting the 1995 Waqf Act or below a authorities order handed in April 1989 which allowed the registration of Usar, Banjar & Bhita lands as Waqf property.’
Shakeel Ahmed, deputy secretary within the Yogi Adityanath authorities has written a letter to the Minority Welfare Division, Director & Survey Commissioner of Minority Welfare, District Minority Welfare officers, CEO Shia & Sunni Waqf Board and Income officers on this regard.
It’s believed that the federal government is eager on stopping the unlawful possession and switch of properties associated to Waqf. Earlier this month, the Uttar Pradesh authorities began surveying the unaffiliated madrasas and issued directions to the district magistrates concerning the surveys.
Commenting on the matter, Jamiat Ulama-e-Hind stated that it has no objections to the survey of unaffiliated madrasas by the Uttar Pradesh authorities.
