  • Hindu Temple In California’s Newark Vandalized With Anti-India, Pro-Khalistan Graffiti | world news

    In another case of anti-India acts, a Hindu temple in California’s Newark has been vandalised with pro-Khalistan graffiti on the exterior walls. The incident of vandalism occurred in Newark’s Swaminarayan Mandir and came to light on Friday. The Newark police are closely looking into the matter.

    “One of the devotees, who lives close to the shrine, discovered anti-Hindu and anti-India graffiti in black ink on an exterior wall of the building, and the local administration was immediately informed,” Bhargav Raval, the spokesperson of the temple. administration told ANI.

    Jonathan Arguello, a police captain in the Newark Police Department, said, “Based on the graffiti, we believe it was a targeted act, and it’s going to be investigated with full thoroughness. I can also tell you that as a member of the Newark Police Department and the Newark community, we’re deeply saddened when these types of acts occur, and we think they’re senseless and they have no room.”

    Arguello added that such cases would henceforth be taken seriously and acts of vandalism would not be tolerated in the city. Police officials are currently collecting evidence to investigate the matter.

    The Indian Consulate in San Francisco on Saturday strongly condemned the act of vandalism that has come to light in Newark. In a post on

    “This incident has hurt the sentiments of the Indian community. We have pressed for quick investigation and prompt action against the vandals by the US authorities in this matter,” it added.

    Notably, this is not the first case of vandalism of a Hindu temple abroad. In August, a similar incident was reported in Canada’s British Columbia where the front door of a Hindu temple was defaced with posters of the Khalistan referendum.

BJP General Secretary Vinod Tawde put forward the first topic in the meeting: that work has to be done at the booth level to increase 10% votes in the Lok Sabha elections. Speaking on this, the Prime Minister said that if our schemes reach the poor, youth, farmers and women in the right way, it will help us.

    The BJP which won 303 seats in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls has set a target of winning more than 350 seats in the 2024 Lok Sabha elections. If BJP alone achieves the target of 350 plus seats then together with NDA allies, its seat tally in the upcoming general elections will reach around 400.

    The BJP is also making special preparations for 160 seats where the saffron party failed to make an impact. These 160 Lok Sabha seats include Sonia Gandhi’s Rae Bareli, Akhilesh Yadav’s family stronghold Mainpuri, and Sharad Pawar’s family stronghold Baramati, besides those seats of Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, West Bengal, Maharashtra and South India.

To make the program successful, CEO Pratik Pradhan, Tehsildar Gaindlal Sahu, Food Officer Ravi Kumar Komra, Agriculture Officer JN Nag, BMO Sunil Reddy, Nodal Bank Manager Avinash Panda and officers of other departments were also present.

    380 people applied to join the scheme

    2527 beneficiaries had reached both the camps. Out of these, 380 people have given new applications to join Suraksha Bima, Jeevan Jyoti, Ayushman Bharat, Ujjwala and My Bharat Volunteer Scheme. Health checkup of 694 people was done in the camp. Sickle cell test of 92 people has been done on suspicion of symptoms.

    New Delhi: In another OTP Scam incident, an engineer hailing from Bengaluru lost a whopping Rs 68 lakh while he was trying to sell his bed online, as per media reports.

    A report in The Times Of India said, the 39-year-old engineer was looking to sell his bed on OLX and posted an advertisement for the same. A person, who claimed to be a store owner from a furniture store called him up and agreed to buy the used bed for Rs 15,000. However, the person expressed inability to make UPI transaction, citing some error at his end. This is when the harrowing scam unfolded.

    The techie was asked by the buyer to send him Rs 5, for which the latter sent Rs 10. Then he was asked to send Rs 5,000 for which the person returned Rs 10,000. Then he was asked to send Rs 7,500 for which the person claimed that sent Rs 30,000 by accident. The fraudster then asked the techie to return the money using a link and share OTP. Once the engineer fell into the OTP trap, he began losing his money to the tune of Rs 68 lakh.

    Notably, banks, NCPI and RBI have repeatedly warned customers stating that is incredibly important never share One-time password with anyone. Users must use it only if you are in the process of placing an order, and on a trusted website or app. 

    However, if you have received an OTP that you haven’t initiated, it is important to change your account passwords immediately and notify your bank about this unauthorized transaction.
