Five Anti-India Terrorists Who Met Their End On Foreign Soil |
New Delhi: India has been facing various threats from terrorist groups and separatist movements that operate from foreign soil. These anti-India elements have been responsible for many attacks on Indian soil, such as the Pathankot airbase attack, the Dhangri terror attack, and the IC-814 hijacking. However, in recent months, many of these enemies of India have met their fate in the countries they sought refuge in. From Jaish-e-Mohammed terrorist Shahid Latif to Khalistani terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar, several terrorists wanted by India have found their end on foreign soil.
Here are five examples of anti-India terrorists who were killed on foreign soil:
1. Shahid Latif: The Pathankot Mastermind
Shahid Latif was a member of the banned terrorist outfit Jaish-e-Mohammed (JeM), and the key conspirator behind the 2016 attack on an Indian Air Force base in Pathankot, which killed seven Indian personnel. He was on the National Investigation Agency’s wanted list, and had a bounty of Rs 10 lakh on his head. He was shot dead by unidentified gunmen in a mosque in Daska town of Pakistan’s Sialkot district on October 6, 20231.
2. Hardeep Singh Nijjar: The Khalistan Tiger
Hardeep Singh Nijjar was the chief of the outlawed Khalistan Tiger Force (KTF), and one of India’s most-wanted terrorists. He was involved in recruiting and training people for the separatist movement, and was also a part of the Sikhs for Justice (SFJ) group. He was designated as a terrorist by India in 2020, and had an Interpol Red Corner Notice against him. He was shot dead by two masked gunmen outside a gurdwara in Surrey, Canada, on June 23, 20232.
3. Bashir Ahmad Peer: The Hizbul Commander
Bashir Ahmad Peer was a commander of the Hizbul Mujahideen terror group, and was responsible for recruitment and infiltration of armed terrorists in Jammu and Kashmir. He was killed by unknown gunmen outside a shop in Rawalpindi, Pakistan, earlier this year3.
4. Syed Khalid Raza: The Al-Badr Chief
Syed Khalid Raza was the chief of the Pakistan-based terror group Al-Badr, which operates in Jammu and Kashmir. He was shot dead by unidentified assailants in Karachi, Pakistan, in February 20234.
5. Paramjit Singh Panjwar: The KCF Leader
Paramjit Singh Panjwar was the leader of the Khalistan Commando Force (KCF), another banned terrorist group that seeks to create a separate Sikh state. He was involved in several cases of murder, kidnapping, and drug and weapons smuggling. He was wanted by India, and had a cash reward of Rs 10 lakh on his head. He was shot dead by two unknown gunmen in Lahore, Pakistan, in May 2023.

Mohammad Akbar’s challenge to BJP, said- If there is even a single Rohingya Muslim in Kawardha, show me…
Raipur. Former Chhattisgarh Law Minister Mohammad Akbar had won from the state’s Kawardha Assembly seat in 2018 by a record vote of 59,284, which is the largest margin of victory. This time he lost to BJP’s Vijay Sharma by 39,592 votes. He has expressed doubts about EVMs. He says that there is a lot of uproar regarding EVMs in Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan. He also said, if we raise the issue now, people will question us about the victory of Telangana. During this, he has challenged the allegations made by BJP regarding the settlement of Rohingya Muslims in Kawardha, calling them false.
He said that, in the review meeting with the party high command in Delhi, my colleagues raised the issue of EVM and discussion started on it. We can demand bringing back the ballot papers for the Lok Sabha elections. We also discussed in detail our manifesto and the work done by our government. The leadership has asked us to focus on the Lok Sabha elections. He said that right now he is waiting for the stand of his party leaders on EVMs. Communal politics does not work in the constituency.
He said, I do not want to blame anyone for the defeat. I secured the fourth highest number of votes in the state. This time he got 1.05 lakh votes (in 2018, Akbar got 1.36 lakh votes, while the BJP candidate got 77,000 votes). He also said, in future I will try to explain to the voters that their priorities while voting should be development and brotherhood.
There are allegations of Rohingya Muslims settling in his constituency. To which he said this is just politics. Ask those who are making this allegation to show even one Rohingya Muslim in Kawardha.
This time Congress was expected to get 60-75 seats from Chhattisgarh, but the party was limited to 35 seats. He said that I could not believe that we lost. For the first time, all exit poll predictions for Chhattisgarh turned out to be wrong. There are many reasons for the loss. Our government did many good things like farm loan waiver, universal ration card and paddy procurement, which were the highest in India. Apart from this, our manifesto was better than that of BJP. However they still won. Let’s see if they keep their promises, especially the promise of purchasing up to 21 quintals of paddy at Rs 3100 per quintal.
Be it Saja or Kawardha, BJP carried forward the agenda of Hindutva. It has been alleged that Congress practices appeasement politics. He said, they resort to this false story to win the elections and the same happened this time too.
When asked whether it was a conscious decision of the Congress to remain silent despite BJP leaders using the communal card against you during the campaign, Akbar said, it is better not to react to them. I will not change my style of politics, which is secular. I am confident about my work and do not believe that communal politics will become an issue. After Patan, there was a lot of development in Kawardha. Ultimately it is the people who decide which issue should be given priority.

Egypt’s el-Sisi Re-Elected President Registering Landslide Victory With 89.6% Votes | world news
CAIRO: Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi is headed towards a landslide victory in Egypt’s presidential elections on Monday securing a third term as leader of the Middle East’s most populous nation, Al Jazeera reported. Following the counting of votes between December 10 and 12, the National Elections Authority of Egypt said that Sisi won 89.6 percent of the votes.
Turnout reached an “unprecedented” 66.8 percent of voters, said authority head Hazem Badawy. Furthermore, over 39 million Egyptians cast their ballots for Sisi, a former army chief who has ruled the most populous Arab country for a decade, according to Al Jazeera. Amid Egypt dealing with several crises, including the Israel-Hamas war in neighboring Gaza and the country’s worst-ever economic crisis, Sisi won even though the result was in little doubt.
Reportedly, despite Egypt’s challenges, a decade-long crackdown on dissent has eliminated any serious opposition to Sisi, the fifth president to emerge from within the ranks of the military since 1952, reported Al Jazeera. Sisi was running against three other candidates, none of whom were high-profile, according to Al Jazeera.
However, he ended his run complaining that his campaign had been impeded and dozens of his supporters had been arrested. Furthermore, runner-up Hazem Omar, who leads the Republican People’s Party, received 4.5 percent of the vote. The next came Farid Zahran, leader of the left-leaning Egyptian Social Democratic Party, and Abdel-Sanad Yamama from the Wafd, a century-old but relatively marginal party, according to Al Jazeera.
Sisi is now set to serve his third–and, according to the constitution, final–term in office, which will begin in April. However, in both previous elections, Sisi won with 97 percent of the vote. Sisi extended the presidential mandate from four to six years and amended the constitution to raise the limit on consecutive terms in office from two to three, Al Jazeera reported.
Notably, under Sisi’s rule, Egypt has jailed thousands of political prisoners, and while a presidential pardons committee has freed about 1,000 in one year, rights groups said that three to four times, many were arrested over the same period.
