  • Tejashwi Yadav Questions delay In Bihar Cabinet Expanison |

Rashtriya Janata Dal leader Tejashwi Yadav on Sunday questioned the the delay in the cabinet expansion of the JDU-NDA government in Bihar. Launching a scathing attack at the Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, Yadav said nobody is taking Bihar CM seriously and both the common people and leaders within Kumar’s party are tired of him.

Speaking to reporters in Patna, former Bihar Deputy Chief Minister Tejashwi Yadav said, ” This is a big question. Cabinet expansion has not been done in one month. What is the reason behind this? All important works are getting delayed. CM should answer about this.”

Tejashwi Yadav remarked that Nitish Kumar has not yet finalized the school timings in the State. He asserted that a government official is in disagreement with the Bihar Chief Minister’s stance on the issue, resulting in a lack of decision-making progress.

“There have also been discussions regarding the school timings but the state govt has not done anything. Nitish Kumar made a statement in Vidhan Sabha that changes will be made in the timings. When cold wave gripped Bihar, in a cabinet meeting we told him that timings should be changed. But an official is not listening to the Chief Minister. This shows that no one is taking CM Nitish Kumar seriously. Common people and party leaders are tired of CM Nitish Kumar,” he said.

On remarks made by Jitan Ram Manjhi that he repaid the favour by supporting Nitish Kumar on making him the Chief Minister, Tejashwi Yadav said that Hindustani Awam Morcha founder did not say anything wrong.

“Earlier we (RJD) made him the Chief Minister. They were the third biggest party. This time a party which has four MLAs made him the Chief Minister. Remove their four votes and the count would have been 121,” he said.

Earlier in January, Nitish, who had reportedly gone into a sulk after not being named the convenor of INDIA, the Opposition bloc that took shape through his efforts, dumped the Mahagathbandhan (grand alliance) in Bihar and the national coalition to form a new government with the support of the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA).

Later, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government won the floor test in the Bihar Assembly with the support of 129 MLAs. The majority mark in Bihar is 122. Three MLAs of RJD crossed over and voted in favour of NDA.

    Why Was He Called Zimbabar?

Babar Azam burst onto the international cricket scene in 2015, showcasing immense talent and promise as a batsman for Pakistan. Initially hailed as a potential successor to Virat Kohli’s dominance in world cricket, Babar was anticipated to excel across all formats of the game. However, in recent years, he has faced criticism for his inconsistent performances, particularly in crucial matches for Pakistan. (Will CSK Captain MS Dhoni Retire After IPL 2024? While he continues to shine in less pressure-intensive or inconsequential games, his inability to deliver during pivotal moments has tarnished his reputation. Fans on social media often troll him for scoring runs against weaker teams when he gets out early against big teams like Australia, England, etc.

    Recent Controversy In PCB

Former Pakistan all-rounder and Director of Cricket Mohammed Hafeez slammed ex-director of Cricket Mickey Arthur and ex-skipper Babar Azam for not paying attention to the fitness levels of the team.

Recently, Hafeez was removed by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) from his position following a clean sweep loss to Australia in a three-Test series Down Under and another loss to New Zealand in the five-match T20I series. He was appointed as the Director of Cricket just after Arthur’s tenure ended following a mixed-bag Cricket World Cup campaign in India.

Speaking to ARY Sports Channel, Hafeez said, “When I took over as director (in 2023) and we reached Australia, I told the team trainer to give me a report on the players’ fitness standards and prepare a new fitness regimen.”

“He told me that the former captain (Babar) and head coach (Arthur) had told him six months ago that fitness is not the priority at the moment and let the players play as they wanted,” added the former all-rounder.

Hafeez asserted that fitness is a modern-day priority for all cricket teams. He said that the body fat levels of players were checked and skin folds of players were high, mostly 1.5 times the accepted limit.

“Fitness in modern-day cricket is a top priority for all teams,” said Hafeez. (PSL 2024: Hawk-Eye Issues Apology To PCB Following Mistake Which Cost Islamabad United A Loss Against Quetta Gladiator)

“When the fat levels of the players were checked, the skin fold of all of them was high – for most players it was 1.5 times the limit. They were unfit and some of them couldn’t complete a 2 KM trial run. You will suffer defeats if the fitness is like that,” he concluded. Pakistan’s next assignment is a tour to England in May this year, during which four T20Is were played. (With ANI inputs)

  • Google Pauses Gemini’s People Image Feature After Anti-‘Woke’ Backlash |

New Delhi: Google has paused the image-generation function of its Gemini AI chatbot following a string of controversies. The company, acknowledged that Gemini had provided “incorrect representations in certain historical contexts” and assured users that an enhanced version of the feature would be released shortly.

In a statement on the X platform regarding Gemini’s text-to-image abilities, Google stated “We’re working to improve these kinds of depictions immediately. Gemini’s AI image generation does generate a wide range of people. And that’s generally a good thing because people around the world use it. But it’s missing the mark here.”

Images produced by Gemini spread across social media recently, leading to widespread ridicule and anger. Some users criticized Google, claiming that the company prioritizes being “woke” over truth or accuracy.

Some of the images that drew criticism included a portrayal of four Swedish women, none of whom were depicted as white, as well as scenes featuring Black and Asian soldiers dressed as Nazis.

“It’s embarrassingly hard to get Google Gemini to acknowledge that white people exist,” Debarghya Das, the engineer who founded the enterprise search startup Glean, shared on X platform a post containing several images created by Gemini.

The challenges faced by AI models, such as overlooking people of color and perpetuating stereotypes underscore the need for continual improvement and ethical considerations in AI development.

Google’s efforts to keep pace with competitors like OpenAI since the launch of ChatGPT in 2022 have been accompanied by setbacks in the rollout of its AI products. Instances like the apology issued last year for inaccuracies in its AI chatbot Bard’s demonstration highlight the ongoing complexities in AI technology.

  • Are You Facing Issues With Creating AI Images From Gemini? Google Explain The Reason |

New Delhi: Google has officially recognized issues with its Gemini model’s AI image generation, particularly concerning specific prompts. The tech giant stated that users requesting various images related to a particular culture or historical period should receive accurate responses. However, this hasn’t been the case, with Google attributing the problems to its “tuning” measures.

    Explanation Of Shortcomings

In a recent blog post, Google delved into the factors contributing to problems with its Gemini model’s AI image generation. The company highlighted two main factors. (Also Read: From Investment To Income: A Rs 5-7 Lakh Investment In This Business Idea Could Yield Rs 1.5 Lakh Monthly Returns)

Firstly, their tuning process, aimed at ensuring Gemini could display a diverse range of people, overlooked scenarios where a varied representation wasn’t appropriate. Secondly, over time, the model became overly cautious and started declining certain prompts altogether. (Also Read: User Receives Fake iPhone 15 From Amazon; Company Responds)

    Temporary Pause On Image Generation

Google admitted that their recently launched news image generation feature for the Gemini conversational app, which included creating images of people, missed the mark.

Some generated images were inaccurate or even offensive. In response, Google temporarily paused the image generation of people in Gemini while they worked on an improved version.

The company emphasized that this outcome wasn’t their intention and reiterated their stance against deliberately creating inaccuracies, especially with historical content.

    Actions To Address Issues

To resolve the problems, Google plans to subject Gemini’s AI image generation to more testing. However, the company mentioned that they can’t guarantee Gemini won’t make mistakes or produce embarrassing, wrong, or offensive results even after fixing the issues. Nonetheless, they promised to take action whenever problems arise.

    Recommendation To Users

While the Gemini AI model undergoes improvements, Google suggests users utilize Search’s AI image generation, which gathers “fresh, high-quality information” from the web.

Temporary Halt On Generating Images Of People

Following a backlash over inaccurate results, Google temporarily suspended its Gemini AI model from generating images of people.

This decision came after users shared images created by the model, primarily featuring people of color, including scenes from history that only involved white people.

  • Iran Forces Kill Jaish al-Adl Commander In Pakistan Soil A Month After Air Strikes: Report | world news

New Delhi: Iran’s military forces killed senior Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice) militant group commander Ismail Shahbakhsh and some of his associates in the Pakistan territory, news agency ANI reported, citing Iran International English. In the latest development, Iran’s forces, in a gunfight, assaulted a militant group, one month after the two countries exchanged air strikes. Jaish al-Adl, formed in 2012, is a Sunni terrorist group that operates in Iran’s southeastern province of Sistan-Baluchistan, and is labeled as a “terrorist” organization by Iran, ANI reported, citing Al Arabiya News.

Jaish al-Adl has carried out numerous attacks on Iranian security forces over the years. In December, Jaish al-Adl claimed responsibility for an attack on a police station in Sistan-Balochistan that killed at least 11 police personnel.

However, last month, weeks after launching missile strikes against “terror units” in each other’s territories, Pakistan and Iran agreed to enhance security cooperation, The News International reported. The agreement was announced during a joint press conference by Pakistan Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani and his Iranian counterpart Hossein Amir-Abdollahian at the Pakistan Foreign Office.

Jilani said that both Iran and Pakistan can settle “misunderstandings” fairly quickly. The two countries also agreed to combat terrorism in their respective areas and address each other’s concerns, he added. However, the recent attack showed the opposite. Notably, tensions between the two nations rose after Tehran and Islamabad conducted missile strikes against each other targeting ‘terror units’.

Iran carried out missile and drone strikes in Pakistan on the late night of January 16, to destroy two “important headquarters” of Jaish al-Adl (Army of Justice). Islamabad claimed that the strikes killed two children and injured three girls, Al Arabiya News reported, citing Tasnim News Agency. Pakistan pulled out its ambassador from Iran on January 17 and announced that it would not allow the Iranian envoy visiting his home country at that time to return to protest a “blatant breach” of its sovereignty.

The next day, on January 18, Pakistan launched strikes inside Iran in a retaliatory attack. Islamabad said it targeted the hideouts used by ‘terrorist militant organizations,’ namely the Balochistan Liberation Army (BLA) and the Balochistan Liberation Front (BLF). However, later, both countries agreed on the return of ambassadors of both countries to their respective posts and also decided to mutually work for ‘de-escalation’ of tensions, Geo News reported.
