    In about two days, the BCCI selectors led by Ajit Agarkar are going to end the ever-growing anticipation about India’s T20 World Cup 2024 squad. But here’s a reality check for the IPL-watching India fans: the T20 league performance are going to have zero effect on the selection for the World Cup. The selectors are not keen on trying players who do not have any prior international experience. The squad is pretty much ready and after meeting between the selectors and the Indian management, it will be out soon.

    As per ESPNcricinfo, the only IPL performance that brought the attention of selectors was that of Lucknow Super Giants’ Mayank Yadav. He has extreme pace and accuracy but because he cannot keep his body fully fit after a couple of games, selectors did not feel it would be a right call to take him in the squad.

    Unlike what the social media believes, neither KL Rahul nor Risahbh Pant are the first-choice keepers. Selectors are likely to go with Rajasthan Royals captain Sanju Samson as the first-choice wicketkeeper/batter for he has the ability to hit the spin as India’s top 3 struggle against spin.

    KL Rahul is in form but he is batting in the top order which is already secured. Rohit Sharma, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Virat Kohli, and Suryakumar Yadav are almost finalized in the top 4.

    Rahul or Pant could be the backup keeping options but for that to happen, India will have to leave out one of Shivam Dube and Rinku Singh or a backup pacer. The selectors will have to make a call on this, whether they want powerhitting backup, keeping backup or pace-bowling backup.

    As far as Hardik Pandya is concerned, he comes with a rare skill which is bowling medium pace and batting in middle order as power-hitter. He is out of form but that is not a huge concern for selectors as much as his bowling fitness is. Pandya is yet to bowl a full quota of overs this IPL and his pace is also down. That is why saying Pandya is already confirmed for World Cup is still far-fetched.

Congress accepts Muslim reservation but it is not able to tolerate the rights being given to tribals, scheduled caste groups and backward classes. Shameful.

    New Delhi: The Directorate of Education (DoE) in Delhi has recently announced the commencement of registrations for the EWS Admission 2024-25 in private schools. As per the released notification, the registration window opens on April 30, facilitating students and their parents to apply through the official website edudel.nic.in.

    Per the stipulated guidelines, private institutions are mandated to earmark 25 percent of their seats for students hailing from economically weaker sections (EWS), disadvantaged groups, and children with special needs (CWSN). The allotment of these reserved seats is conducted via a computerized lottery system, with the draw scheduled for May 20.

    Elaborating on the eligibility criteria for Delhi EWS Admission 2024-25:

    – For admission to pre-school or nursery class:
      – EWS and DG category applicants should fall within the age bracket of 3 to 5 years.
      – CWD or CWSN category candidates must be aged between 3 and 7 years.

    – For enrollment in pre-primary or KG class:
      – EWS and DG Category: Children should be aged between 4 to 6 years.
      – CWS and CWSN Category: Children should be aged between 4 and 8 years.

    – For admission to Class 1:
      – EWS and DG Category: Children should be aged between 5 to 7 years.
      – CWS and CWSN Category: Children should be aged between 5 to 9 years.

    Moreover, applicants are required to be permanent residents of Delhi. To qualify under the EWS category, the annual family income of the students should not exceed Rs 2.5 lakh.

    The application process for Delhi EWS Admission 2024-25 involves several steps:

    1. Visit the official website of Delhi EWS Admission 2024-25: https://edudel.nic.in.

    Om Fahad, an Iraqi TikTok star, was shot dead in a late-night attack outside her home in eastern Baghdad’s Zoyouna district, Al Jazeera reported on Saturday.     Who Was Iraqi Social Media Influencer Om Fahad?

    With almost half a million followers on TikTok, Om Fahad—real name: Ghufran Sawadi—became well-known for posting videos of herself dancing to pop music.

    A court found in February 2023 that she had posted videos that included “indecent speech that undermines modesty and public morality” and sentenced her to six months in prison. Over a million people have watched some of her videos.

    Investigations against other online content creators were initiated, and five more were sentenced to prison terms of up to two years at the time. This came after the Iraqi Interior Ministry formed a committee in January 2023 to investigate “obscene and degrading content” posted online by influencers such as Om Fahad, with the stated goal of protecting “morals and family traditions” in society.

    Additionally, an online platform was established, according to Al Jazeera, where Iraqi users were urged to report any such content for removal. At the time, officials asserted that tens of thousands of reports had been registered by the public, and that the public had embraced the platform.

    Following the ministry’s crackdown, some online content creators were forced to issue an apology and remove portions of their work.

    In a report released last year, the Geneva-based Euro-Med Human Rights Monitor stated that it could not find any reason to indict Om Fahad and that her writing did not go beyond the bounds of her freedom of expression, opinion, and publication.

Dharsiwa Police, after two months, registered a case against factory occupier Vikram Tamboli, Manager Amit Kumar and Shift Incharge Shashikundan Singh in the case of death of a worker in the blast that took place on February 21, 24 at Fortune Metalics Origin Iron and Steel Company, Kapsada, without providing safety equipment. A crime has been registered under sections 287, 304 A, 337, 338 on charges of negligence in getting the work done and causing death in the accident.     In the said accident that took place on February 21, there was a blast in a huge iron smelting furnace. In which Mintu Kumar father Manish Kumar Rai, 25 years old resident of Muzaffarpur Bihar lost his life. Whereas Ajay Rai’s body was also burnt. A laborer, Rohit Rajput, had jumped from above to save himself from the hot iron during the accident and was injured. Both of them were treated in a private hospital in Raipur, but after the death of one worker, workers and villagers gathered outside the factory. Demonstration was carried out by setting up tents. Then somewhere the management announced compensation.

    A major accident also took place on the night of 1-2 November 2021 at the Fortune Metaliks Limited factory located in Dharsiwan, adjacent to the capital Raipur. In the accident, two workers were burnt to death due to the explosion of the factory furnace. In this accident, the deceased were identified as electrician Kapil Kumar (48 years), resident of Bihar, and helper Bhupendra Patel (28 years), resident of Rewa Madhya Pradesh.

People were also seen risking their lives by climbing atop the balcony to save the child. 

    The three-minute-long viral video shows the dramatic rescue of the child who fell from the fourth-floor balcony and landed on a tin shade on the second floor. The clip was recorded by another resident of the same complex. In the video, eight-month-old Harin Magi can be seen lying on her hands and knees near the edge of a tin shade. A slighter movement would have led to her fall from there.
