  • Weather Update: IMD Predicts Heatwave For Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan, Check Out |

    New Delhi: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) predicted a severe heatwave condition over the region of  Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, West Rajasthan, Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand and Odisha on Friday. The humid weather can prevail over Gangetic West Bengal and Goa on May 31 as the temperature is rising high over the region. 


    IMD Alerts For Haryana’s Districts 

    IMD issues an alert for Haryana due to the rising temperature in the state.  On Thursday, Haryana’s Hissar reported the maximum temperature of 47 degrees Celsius, while, Narnaul reported 47.5 degrees Celsius and Rohtak 47.5 degrees Celsius. As the temperature is rising high in different parts of the state,  the department raised orange alert for Bhiwani, Rohtak, Hissar, Charki Dadri, Jhajjar, Jind, Fatehabad and Panipat, while, the yellow alert was raised for Karnal and Kaithal. 

    Prediction For Rainfall In India


    IMD predicted heavy rainfall on Friday over the region of Assam, West Bengal, Sikkim, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Kerala, and Tripura. States like Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Jammu and Kashmir, Tamil Nadu, coastal Arunachal Pradesh, and coastal Karnataka are likely to witness thunderstorms, lightning and gusty wind on May 30.


    Check Today’s Temperature In Delhi, Bengaluru, Kolkata

    IMD predicted a maximum temperature of 44 degrees Celsius in Delhi and 35 degrees Celsius for Kolkata, while, Bengaluru is likely to witness rainfall with thunderstorms on May 31.

    Acknowledging Pakistan’s mistake, former Prime Minister of the nation Nawaz Sharif accepted on Tuesday that Islamabad ‘violated’ an agreement with India in 1999. Sharif’s repentance came during his speech as he assumed the presidency of the ruling party, PML-N, during a meeting of its general council.

    Lahore Declaration

    Sharif referred to the “Lahore Declaration,” an agreement he signed with India’s Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee on February 21, 1999, aimed at promoting peace and stability between India and Pakistan. Despite this, shortly after the signing, Pakistani troops moved into the Kargil district in Jammu and Kashmir, sparking the Kargil War.

    In the ‘Lahore Declaration’ both nations, India and Pakistan, agreed to share a vision for peace and stability between their countries, believing that an environment of peace and security is in the supreme national interest of both countries and that resolving all outstanding issues, including Jammu and Kashmir, is essential for achieving this goal.

    Among other points, the agreement also acknowledged that nuclear capabilities increase countries’ responsibility to avoid conflict.

    What Sharif confessed?

    Nawaz said, “On May 28, 1998, Pakistan carried out five nuclear tests. After that, Vajpayee Saheb came here and made an agreement with us. But we violated that agreement. It was our fault.”

    He asserted that he conducted the nuclear tests despite pressure from the United States to avoid doing so.

    “President Bill Clinton had offered Pakistan USD 5 billion to stop it from carrying out nuclear tests, but I refused. Had (former prime minister) Imran Khan, like a person, been in my seat, he would have accepted Clinton’s offer,” reported ANI, quoting Nawaz Sharif.

    Earlier in 2018, the former PM was ousted by an apex court bench headed by then-chief justice Mian Saqib Nisar from the position of political party president. After six years, Sharif was elected uncontested in the general council meeting of the party.

    New Delhi: Tech Giant Google has confirmed the authenticity of around 2,500 leaked internal documents related to its search feature. These documents were initially reported by SEO experts Rand Fishkin and Mike King, as per the reports

    In a statement to The Verge, Google has warned people not to make incorrect assumptions about their search feature based on the leaked documents as the information might be out of context, outdated or incomplete. It further stated that it has provided a lot of information about how its Search feature works and the factors its system considers. They have also highlighted their efforts to protect search results from being manipulated.

    The leaked material allegedly suggests that Google “collects and potentially uses data” that company representatives have said does not contribute to ranking webpages in Google Search.     According to Fishkin, the leaked documents outline Google’s search API and break down what information is available to employees. SEO expert King said in his overview of the documents that “Lied” is harsh but “it’s the only accurate word to use here”.     New Delhi: As the election campaign of the Lok Sabha polls ended on Thursday, Congress’ star campaigner Priyanka Gandhi’s marathon election campaign in this poll season clocked 108 public meetings and roadshows, more than 100 media bytes, one television interview, and five print interviews spread over the last 55 days, the party said.

    Priyanka Gandhi, who campaigned in 16 states and one union territory, hit back at Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s attack on the Congress party and his allegations in a measured manner. Her speeches garnered adequate attention in this election as she shattered the Prime Minister and the Bharatiya Janata Party’s efforts to misdirect the narrative, the Congress said.

    Gandhi’s dialogue, conversation style, gentleness, simplicity, and humility received much praise from the public.

    Gandhi concluded her Lok Sabha election campaign with a huge road show in Himachal Pradesh’s Solan. After offering prayers to Hanuman at Jakhu temple, Gandhi held her last road show of this poll campaign at Solan, in which thousands participated.

    In her 55-day strong election campaign, Priyanka Gandhi also addressed two conferences of thousands of workers in Amethi and Rae Bareli.

    Sharpening the Congress’ election campaign, Gandhi held two to three public meetings and road shows every day. The most vigorous campaign was conducted in Rae Bareli and Amethi, where she participated in an average of 8-10 meetings, welcome ceremonies, or road shows every day.

    Gandhi also camped in Uttar Pradesh and Himachal Pradesh during this election season and brought life to the election campaign in Karnataka and Kerala. She also camped in prominent constituencies in Assam and Tripura.

    In the course of her campaign, Gandhi covered the seats of Garhwal and Kumaon in Uttarakhand, Marathwada and the north of Maharashtra, Mysore in Karnataka, Kalyana-Karnataka, the Kittur region in Karnataka, and the Malwa region of Punjab, the Congress said.

    Priyanka Gandhi covered seats of tribal majority areas in Jharkhand, Marwar in Rajasthan, Eastern Rajasthan, Jaipur, Matsya region (Alwar) of Rajasthan, Durg division, Bastar division, Raigarh division of Chhattisgarh, and Chambal seats of Madhya Pradesh.

    The crowd that came to Priyanka Gandhi’s public meetings or road show in Saharanpur, Dhubri, Fatehpur Sikri, Sirsa, Nandurbar, Kullu, Wayanad, Zahirabad, and Varanasi broke all records, the party said.

    Raipur. Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad met Education Minister Brijmohan Agarwal today and demanded the expulsion of PTRSU Registrar Shailendra Patel. During this, Education Minister Brijmohan Agarwal said that if there is an investigation on the qualification of the Vice Chancellor, then action will also be taken. He also assured to instruct the officials in this matter.

    ABP’s state minister Yagyadutt Verma said that despite the fourth investigation of the documents related to the qualification and experience of Pandit Ravishankar Shukla University Raipur’s Deputy Registrar Shailendra Kumar Patel, the case of fake documents has come to light. Earlier, three times, the committee of Additional Director, Joint Director Commissioner and three Principals of Higher Education Department had investigated Patel’s documents and submitted the report, in which it was made clear that Patel’s qualification does not meet the standards set for the post of Deputy Registrar.

    Yagya Dutt further said that Vice Chancellor Patel had claimed that he had done PhD in Mathematics from CV Raman University, Bilaspur from 5 February 2013 to 5 February 2015, while during this period he was working as an Assistant Professor in Bhilai Institute of Technology, Raipur. But it is impossible to cover the distance of 300 km (to and fro) between Raipur and Bilaspur daily, which makes it clear that Patel’s claim is false. Apart from this, Patel got the job of Assistant Professor without passing the NET examination, which is against the rules.

    Yagyadutt said that the investigation committee in this case also found Patel’s MPhil degree to be fake, because he had informed that he had done MPhil from Vinayak Mission University, Salem in 2007-08, whereas MPhil from that institution is not valid. Patel’s name has also come up in many corruption cases, such as the question paper scam and the NAAC scam.

    Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad’s state minister Yagyadutt Verma said, “The way the issue of the Registrar’s scam and fake degrees is coming up again and again in Pt. Ravishankar Shukla University, it is very unfortunate. Three times an inquiry committee has been formed and the matter has been investigated and each time he has been declared ineligible, yet today he sits there proudly and threatens the students. This shows the government’s inability to take decisions. If a decision is not taken in this matter soon, the Vidyarthi Parishad will be forced to launch a fierce movement, the full responsibility of which will be of the government and administration.

    ABP’s Raipur Metropolitan Minister Pratham Rao Futane said, “Teachers have the biggest contribution in education. If they are caught in such fraud and even after being caught, no action is taken against them, then it will have a bad impact on the student community.” But now it is impossible for Registrar Shailendra Patel to escape.

    Pratham said that the Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad has decided that it will take appropriate action against Shailendra Patel. The pot of corruption of the Registrar is now full.
