    WhatsApp, one of the world’s most popular messaging apps, will stop updating and functioning on over 35 smartphones in 2024 from vendors like Apple, Huawei, Lenovo, LG, Motorola, and Samsung, as reported by CanalTech. Moreover, these devices will no longer receive WhatsApp updates or security patches. While this decision is intended to improve the app’s performance and security, it will require some users to upgrade their devices to continue using WhatsApp.

    So, If you have an older phone and use WhatsApp constantly, you need to upgrade to a newer device to continue using the app. While brands like Huawei and LG have stopped selling phones in India, many are still using phones from these brands, so you need to change the smartphone. 

    Why WhatsApp Will No Longer Work on Old Phones? 

    In the fast-paced world of technology, smartphone makers support devices for only a few years. Due to software and hardware compatibility, developers like Meta optimise their apps for the latest software versions. Currently, WhatsApp only recommends using the app if you have a device with Android 5.0 (or later) or an iPhone with iOS 12 (or later). The phones with older systems won’t receive updates, increasing security risks.

Where she underwent surgery again and her condition became normal. The victim’s family said that about Rs 2 lakh were also spent in the hospital in Ambikapur.

  • CBI Arrests School Owner From Gujarat’s Godhra In NEET-UG Paper Leak Probe |

    The Central Bureau Of Investigation (CBI) arrested the owner of a private school in Gujarat’s Godhra on Sunday for alleged involvement in NEET-UG exam malpractices. Speaking to news agency PTI, public prosecutor Rakesh Thakor said, “Dixit Patel, the owner of the Jay Jalaram School in Godhra in the Panchmahal district, where the exam was held, was taken into custody early in the morning from his residence. The CBI is currently taking Patel to Ahmedabad to get his remand.”

    “As the case has been handed over to the CBI by the Gujarat government, a CBI team will produce him (Dixit Patel) before a designated court in Ahmedabad to acquire his remand,” explained Thakor. On May 5, one of the designated locations for the NEET-UG exam was Jay Jalaram School. Patel is the sixth person to be held in the case where the accused reportedly sought Rs 10 lakh from aspirants to assist them pass the test.

After this, the family members arranged for Rahul’s second marriage. Kajal also tried to get close to the second sister-in-law, due to which the second sister-in-law also left the house.

    After this, there was a dispute between Kajal, her mother and brother. After which Kajal was afraid that her mother might transfer all the property to her brother. After this, Kajal made this plan along with her cousin Krish. There were a total of three people in the family in which the mother and son were murdered.

    Dilshad Ahmed, Surajpur. A shocking case of theft from a jewellery shop in broad daylight has come to light in the district. A miscreant who came to Aastha Jewellers on the main road of Surajpur posing as a customer distracted the attention of the shop owner and escaped with jewellery worth about Rs 70,000. This incident was recorded in the CCTV camera installed in the shop.

    According to the information, today at around 12 noon, the miscreant entered the shop as a customer and asked the shopkeeper to show the jewellery. During this, when the attention of the shopkeeper was diverted from him, he quickly put his hand in the counter and picked up the gold earrings and locket. Before the shopkeeper could understand anything, the miscreant quickly ran towards the gate and escaped with the jewellery. During this time the shopkeeper was inside the counter due to which he could not catch that miscreant. By the time he came out, he had gone far away. The shop owner told that the miscreant escaped with a bike rider after going some distance. The shop owner has lodged an FIR of this incident with the police.

    New Delhi: The Jnata Dal (United) after a national executive meeting on Saturday appointed Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha as its working president, a position currently not held my anyone. Chief Minister Nitish Kumar’s decision comes at a time when the party has reaffirmed its demand for the special state status for Bihar along with special financial aid from the Centre.  

    Kumar’s move to appoint his close aid as the party’s working president indicates his efforts to enhance coordination with the BJP and leverage favourable terms, given Jha’s strong rapport with the national party’s leadership. 

    Who Is JDU’s Working President Sanjay Jha? 

    Sanjay Jha began his political career with the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in 2012 and served as a crucial link between the party and Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar. Known for his competence, likability, and low-key demeanor, Jha transitioned to the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)], gradually. 

    Jha is a competent leader from the Mithilanchal region and has long been a trusted aide of JDU stalwart Nitish Kumar. His loyalty and reliability have been notable, especially in the political landscape of Bihar, where shifting allegiances have previously caused trouble for Kumar. An example of such shifting loyalties is former JD(U) president RCP Singh, who is now with the BJP. 

    Party sources indicate that Nitish Kumar relies on Jha to maintain smooth relations with the BJP while advocating for JD(U)’s demands, including securing aid for Bihar. 

    Following his appointment, Jha noted that JDU and BJP are natural allies. 

    He stated that his party aims to secure central assistance for Bihar, building upon the foundation established by the Kumar-led government since 2005.

  • Bomb blasts in Nigeria’s Borno state kill 18, injure 48 |

    Bomb blasts in Nigeria’s northeast Borno state killed at least 18 people and injured 48 others, CNN reported, quoting the state’s emergency services.

    The first blast hit a wedding ceremony around 3 PM local time on Saturday, followed by another at General Hospital Gwoza and a third at a funeral, CNN reported.

    According to the head of the local state emergency management agency, the attacks were carried out by suspected suicide bombers.

    WION, citing a report by AFP, reported that a state police spokesperson said in one of the three blasts in Gwoza, a woman with a baby strapped to her back detonated explosives in the middle of a wedding ceremony.

    The blast took place around 3:45 PM local time when a “woman carrying a baby on her back detonated an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) she had on her at a crowded motor park,” Borno State police spokesperson Nahum Kenneth Daso said.

    The female suicide bombers also targeted a hospital in the same town and carried out another attack at the funeral for victims of the wedding blast, WION reported, citing AFP.

    Baekindo Saidu, Director General of the Borno State Emergency Management Agency, confirmed 18 deaths, including children, adults, and pregnant women.

    “The degree of injuries ranges from abdominal ruptures, skull fractures, and limb fractures,” Saidu said, as quoted by Reuters.

    As per AFP, Saidu said 19 people who had been “seriously injured” were rushed to the regional capital Maiduguri, while 23 people are awaiting evacuation.

    The Nigerian town, which lies across the border from Cameroon, has been witnessing violence for more than a decade. Boko Haram had seized Gwoza in 2014, but it was retaken by the Nigerian military with help from Chadian forces the year after.
