  • OpenAI’s ChatGPT Now Available For All Mac Users; Free Download For MacOS 14+ |

    ChatGPT App For Mac Users: OpenAI’s ChatGPT is now available for all Apple Mac users. Sam Altman-run AI company Open AI ‘s popular chatbot is now available for all Apple Mac users as an app. Moreover, the app is also available for all Mac users to download. 

    Notably, the ChatGPT on Mac computers was announced earlier this month during Apple’s flagship ‘WWDC 2024’ conference. The company had announced integration between OpenAI’s chatbot and Apple’s operating systems for iPhone, iPad and Mac.  

    The Open AI has made an announcement via a post on X social media platform.

    The company further informed that Mac users will get faster access to ChatGPT to chat about email, screenshots, and anything on their screen with the Option + Space shortcut. The Mac users can now call up ChatGPT by using the keyboard combination of Option + Space after installing the new ChatGPT app.

    How Apple Mac Users Can Get ChatGPT?

    To get the app, users will need an M1 Mac as the app doesn’t run on Intel-powered Mac devices. The OpenAI has informed that the desktop app is only available for macOS 14+ with Apple Silicon (M1 or better). If you have a Mac with an M1 chip or later, you can visit OpenAI’s website to download the app for free.

    At the ‘WWDC 2024’, Apple said it is integrating ChatGPT access to experiences within iOS 18, iPadOS 18, and macOS Sequoia, allowing users to access its expertise, without needing to jump between tools. Siri can tap into ChatGPT’s expertise when helpful. Users are asked before any questions are sent to ChatGPT, along with any documents or photos, and Siri then presents the answer directly.

    “Additionally, ChatGPT will be available in Apple’s systemwide Writing Tools, which help users generate content for anything they are writing about,” said the company.     – Congress president Mallikarjun said that there hasn’t been a single discussion between opposition and government. Kharge stated, “Election is going to happen that is why we have filed nomination.”

    – Congress MP K Suresh claimed that the INDIA bloc was ‘compelled’ to contest the election as the BJP’s reply was not satisfactory over the issue. 

    He added, “We don’t want to contest the election against the Speaker, but when the government approached INDIA Alliance, especially the Congress party leadership, we asked about the Deputy Speaker post. At that time, we were not given any assurance. Yesterday, too, they didn’t give any assurance by 11.30 am.” Suresh further said that the BJP told us to support the Speaker election first, and then we can talk about the Deputy Speaker.

    – Prime Minister Narendra Modi will move the motion in the Lok Sabha that BJP’s Om Birla should be chosen as the speaker of the house. This is the first time in many years that there will be an election for the Lok Sabha Speaker’s position.

    – The BJP and Congress have issued a three-line whip, instructing all their MPs to be present in the House from 11 a.m. onward, today (June 26). 

    – The number of MPs in attendance and participating will be considered when casting votes for the Speaker position. The Speaker will be chosen by the majority. With 293 members in the 543-member Lok Sabha, the opposition INDIA group has 234 MPs, while the NDA has a decisive majority of 293 MPs. 

    – While talking to the media on the Lok Sabha Speaker election, Parliamentary Affairs Minister Kiren Rijiju told ANI, “We all are colleagues in the House and we have to work together. When we give an offer to them (Opposition), we expect that the offer is accepted gracefully but that has not been done. We will appeal to them again. There is a simple thing to elect the Speaker unanimously.”

    – 535 MPs Will Vote Today: Out of a total strength of 543 Member of Parliaments in the 18th Lok Sabha, 535 MPs will vote today.

    – Shashi Tharoor, Shatrughan Sinha To Sit Out Voting: Prominent leaders such as Congress’s Shashi Tharoor and Trinamool Congress’s actor-politician Shatrughan Sinha. Additionally, there are others like Deepak Adhikari and Nurul Islam from Trinamool Congress, Afzhal Ansari from the Samajwadi Party, and two Independents. The reasons for the delayed oath-taking of these leaders remain undisclosed. 

    – Congress’s Kodikunnil Suresh will compete against the BJP’s Om Birla for the position of Speaker in the 18th Lok Sabha.   • CG NEWS: Accused arrested for smuggling ganja worth lakhs through train, smuggler used to introduce himself as a Mumbai Police STF jawan

    Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. A smuggler smuggling ganja by train has been arrested with ganja. The accused was caught on platform number 2-3 of Bilaspur station. The accused used to call himself a Special Task Force (STF) personnel of Mumbai Police. GRP arrested the accused during checking.

    Last night, during checking, Kalpesh Patil, a Mumbai resident, was seen waiting for a train at platform number 2-3 Raipur end of Bilaspur railway station. When GRP constables questioned him, he said that he was from Mumbai Police’s Special Task Force. On suspicion, the constables searched him and found 18 kg of ganja in his bag, which is worth Rs 3 lakh 60 thousand. He was earlier also caught by GRP Bilaspur with 10 kg of ganja. Action is being taken against the accused by registering a case under NDPS Act.

    New Delhi: Famous for his quirky dialogues, AIMIM leader Asaduddin Owaisi on Tuesday sparked yet another controversy while taking the oath as the 18th Lok Sabha member. His expression caused an uproar from the Treasury benches, prompting the Chair to order that the remarks be removed from the record. 

    Owaisi was on the podium as he was swearing in his Lower House membership, and he concluded his speech by saying, “Jai Bheem, Jai Meem, Jai Telangana, Jai Palestine.” However, the Hyderabad MP justified his slogans; he told them to read what Mahatma Gandhi said about Palestine. “Other members are also saying different things… How is it wrong? Tell me the provisions of the Constitution,” reported PTI quoting Owaisi. 

    Can Owaisi Be Disqualified? 

    As the slogan attracted widespread buzz, Supreme Court Lawyer Vishnu Shankar Jain informed late night on Tuesday that a formal complaint has been registered against the AIMIM MP. 

    In a post on social media ‘X’ (formerly Twitter), Jain wrote, “A complaint has been filed before the President of India against Mr. Asaduddin Owaisi in terms of Articles 102 and 103 of the Constitution of India by Mr. Hari Shankar Jain, seeking his disqualification as a member of parliament.”

    Articles 102 and 103 address the grounds and procedures for disqualifying members of Parliament. 

    Meanwhile, BJP leader Amit Malviya raised strong objections to the prayer offered by Owaisi. 

    “Palestine apart, is invoking religious idioms kosher, while taking an oath in secular India? Is Owaisi guilty of infusing religion and communalizing a solemn occasion?” Malviya said in a post on X. 

    Malviya noted that, as per the current rules, Asaduddin Owaisi could lose his membership in the Lok Sabha for showing support for Palestine, as this could be seen as having loyalty to another country. BJP leader Amit Malviya shared a rule stating that showing allegiance or support to a foreign country is a reason for disqualification, along with a video clip. 

    As per extant rules, Asaduddin Owaisi can be disqualified from his Lok Sabha membership, for demonstrating adherence to a foreign State, that is Palestine.
