Where today an encounter took place between the police and the Naxalites in the forests of Amjhar and Muhkot of Khallari police station area.     Two soldiers died due to IED blast in Sukma

    SSP Akash Rao said that the advance party of 201 Cobra Corps from Camp Silger under Jagargunda police station was going towards Tekalgudem camp by truck and motorcycle during duty. On the way from Silger to Tekalgudem, Naxalites had planted IED with the intention of harming the security forces. Today at around 3 pm, the truck carrying the soldiers of 201 Cobra Corps came under the impact of IED. During this, the truck driver and 1 soldier were martyred.   • Video: CBI Team Probing NTA Paper Leak Case Attacked By Mob In Bihar’s Nawada; 4 Arrested |

    A Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) team conducting searches related to the UGC-NET paper leak case was attacked by a mob of 300 individuals in Bihar’s Nawada earlier today. As the CBI took over the ongoing probe regarding the allegations of ‘paper leaks’ in NEET-UG examinations, the team reached Nawada in an attempt to carry out the investigation.

    The residents of Kasiyadih village attacked the CBI, mistaking it for a hoax, and damaged vehicles. Four individuals were arrested in relation to the incident.

    The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) registered FIR on Sunday concerning alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG medical entrance exam held on May 5. This follows the Centre’s announcement that the investigation would be transferred to the CBI. The agency is now taking steps to assume control of the investigations and FIRs from other states related to the case.

    Indian Hinduja Family Case: The Indian-origin business tycoon and Britain’s richest Hinduja family has been acquitted of all charges by Switzerland’s higher court. A day earlier, on June 21, the lower court had sentenced 4 members of the Hinduja family to jail in the case of exploitation of servants.

    Businessman Prakash Hinduja and his wife Kamal Hinduja were sentenced to four and a half years. Whereas, his son Ajay and daughter-in-law Namrata were sentenced to four years. However, they were not taken into custody. After this, the family challenged the decision in the higher court.

    Now a spokesperson of the Hinduja family said that the higher court has dismissed all the serious allegations. According to the spokesperson, the complainants have withdrawn all the allegations. While testifying in the court, he said, “We were misled and made to sign statements which we could not understand. We had no such intention.

    Allegations of exploitation of servants

    The Hinduja family was accused of exploiting the people working at their Swiss villa, most of whom were illiterate Indians. The lower court dismissed the human trafficking charges, saying their employees had a reasonable understanding of what they were doing.

    All four members of the Hinduja family were not present in the court at the time of the verdict. However, their manager and the fifth accused Najeeb Jiyaji were present. He was also sentenced to 18 months.

  • CBI Takes Over NEET-UG ‘Paper Leak’; FIR Registered Against Unidentified Individuals |

    New Delhi: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Sunday has registered an FIR regarding the alleged irregularities in the NEET-UG medical entrance exam conducted on May 5. This comes a day after the Centre announcement that the investigation into these alleged irregularities would be transferred to the agency. It is initiating actions to assume control of investigations and FIRs from other states related to the case. 

    Citing the officials PTI reported that a fresh case against unidentified persons on a reference from the Union Education Ministry. 

    In another development, Bihar Police have apprehended six individuals accused in the NEET-UG case. The arrests occurred in Deoghar, Jharkhand on June 21. Following a medical examination at LNJP Hospital in Patna, the suspects are now in police custody. The investigation is ongoing. 

    A total of 24 Lakh candidates have taken the medical entrance test for undergraduate courses. After the protests started gaining momentum and a several reports of paper leaks and allegations started cropping up, the Center had to give in to those demands and refer the matter to the CBI. 

    The students have been insisting that the exam be rescheduled for everyone, not just the 1,500 students who received grace marks. However, the government has not agreed to this, and the retest for the 1,563 candidates who initially received grace marks is taking place today. 

    The ministry in its statement said, “Certain cases of alleged irregularities / cheating /impersonation / malpractices have been reported.  

    It added, “For transparency on the conduct of the examination process, the Ministry of Education, Government of India after a review has decided to entrust the matter to the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for comprehensive investigation.” 

    Following the onset of protests and subsequent investigation, several men were arrested in Bihar. According to the police, these men confessed to a leak. One of them, a student who was taking the exam, stated that he received the exam papers the night before. 

    The head of the National Testing Agency (NTA), responsible for conducting the test, has been dismissed.

    It is expected to succeed the Redmi 12 5G, which was unveiled in India in August 2023, alongside the Redmi 12 4G.
