The Indian cricket team is on a tour of Sri Lanka these days. Under the captaincy of Suryakumar Yadav, the team won the T20 series 3-0. Now the ODI series is to be held. On July 30, when Team India was showing its prowess against Sri Lanka, a player who was out of the team created havoc by scoring a stormy century. He scored a powerful century and led the team to a one-sided victory. This player is none other than Sai Sudarshan, who is currently making his mark in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024.

On Tuesday, July 30, the first qualifier match was held in the Tamil Nadu Premier League 2024, in which Kovai Kings defeated IDream Tiruppur Tamilhans by 7 wickets and made a bang entry into the final. IDream Tiruppur Tamilhans, batting first, scored 200 runs for the loss of 3 wickets in 20 overs, in response to which Kovai Kings won by losing 3 wickets in 18.5 overs and confirmed their place in the final.

  • Now there is no threat of IVG in RPF! Should the wings be cut or something else… why is there no posting of inspector in SIB?

Pratik Chauhan. Raipur. In the last few months, the threat of IVG (INTERNAL VIGILANCE CELL) is not visible in the South East Central Railway Zone. Sources say that the officials of the zone have clipped the wings of IVG. This is the reason why now RPF IVG is not seen taking any action like before.

RPF sources say that if we look at the previous action of INTERNAL VIGILANCE CELL in the zone, if the team was seen at Bilaspur station, then this information used to reach every staff in the entire zone that the INTERNAL VIGILANCE CELL team has left the zone and after this everyone used to come into alert mode.

But for the last few months, this threat has disappeared somewhere. Whether it is about illegal vendors in the entire zone or theft of coal from trains, there is no mention of IVG anywhere. Some sources even say that there could be a big reason behind cutting the wings of IVG, which is a matter of investigation for the senior officials of RPF.

What is the work of IVG in RPF?

Now let us tell you what is the main work of IVG in RPF and why the RPF officials have formed INTERNAL VIGILANCE CELL in the entire zone. The main work of IVG in any zone is to keep an eye on the functioning of RPF staff and from time to time visit all RPF posts to check whether the staff is involved in any transaction to tarnish the image of the force. The IVG team conducts other investigations including whether the duty is being assigned as per RPF rules or not in the post. This team reports directly to the IG. This is the reason why IVG has a different status and fear in the zone. Because apart from the IG, their report goes directly to the Railway Ministry and direct action is also taken on the basis of their confidential report.

Have the complaints suddenly stopped coming or are IVGs not being given the tests?

Now the question is what kind of magic has happened in South East Central Railway Zone that complaints against RPF officers and employees have stopped at the zone level. Or you can say that complaints are reaching but IVG is being kept away from these complaints.

RPF sources say that in order to go for IVG operation in other zones, information about the movement has to be given, but information about where they are going can be given by coming or reaching there. But in South East Central Railway Zone, IVG has to give information about where they are going along with their movement two days in advance and has to take permission. Now it is a matter of investigation for RPF whether IVG is giving information about the movement for operation or not? And if they are giving information, then who is not giving them permission for investigation?

Why is there delay in SIB posting?

The post of SIB is as important as the post of IVG in RPF. It is called Special Intelligence Branch. This team in RPF works in complete secrecy without uniform. The job of this team is to keep an eye on the staff and this team also reports directly to the IG in the zone. But the RPF people themselves are not able to understand the reason for the delay in posting of SIB Inspector in Raipur Railway Division.

Sources claim that there are preparations to weaken the SIB and where earlier there used to be an inspector posted at this post, now an SI has been posted there and the one posted there is currently on training. But the question is how will an SI rank officer keep an eye on the working of the inspector? Sources say that the higher officials of RPF need an inspector in control (where complaints come and go through Twitter). But not in SIB. Let us tell you that in Raipur Railway Division also an inspector is posted in control. But there is no inspector posted in SIB and the former SIB inspector is currently on charge.

The incident took place near Indiranagar Metro station, Bengaluru where a group of local drivers were seen harassing Thomas Simte for choosing an Uber ride. The rickshaw drivers were frustrated with his decision to book a ride online and were seen fighting with him.

In the viral video, Simte on his Uber bike was seen surrounded by a bunch of auto drivers. The locals were seen as frustrated with the passengers booking rides online and started fighting with the man and the Uber driver verbally in the local language and were not letting Thomas go. Many people were seen standing around the place watching and recording the event on their mobile phones.

Thomas said, ‘I request there should be more traffic police near Indiranagar metro station. Autowalas are acting like the boss of the streets, as I mentioned in the video passengers will take any mode of transportation of their choice. Why are they harassing.”

One of the auto-rickshaw drivers tried to pull out the keys from the bike while another raised his hand to slap the passenger. Thomas asked the troublemakers to let him go. He said that he was not exaggerating but such incidents happen every day to the riders.

Informing about the matter he said, “I filed a complaint against the people in Indiranagar police station. The police said they will file FIR and requested me to visit the station again and the location for verification. I hope something positive happens out of this.”

“He pulled my bag from behind to get me down the bike. I want strict action against the harassment of passengers and of riders if they take Uber or any other mode of transport other than the bystanders.” said Thomas.
