  • Shiv Dahria took a dig at the senior BJP leaders, said- former minister Moonat’s mental condition is not good, said this about MP Brijmohan Agarwal…

Lakshika Sahu, Raipur. After the urban body elections in Chhattisgarh and the resignation of MP Brijmohan Agarwal from the post of MLA, politics has heated up regarding the South Assembly seat. By-elections are now to be held on this seat. Before this, Congress and BJP are claiming their victory. In this episode, Congress leader Shiv Dahria has taken a dig at the veterans and senior leaders of BJP. He said about former minister Moonat that his mental condition is not well right now. Along with this, he has cornered the BJP government on many issues.

Amidst the war of words between the ruling party and the opposition regarding the elections in the state, Shiv Dahria retorted to the statement of MLA Rajesh Munat that “a BJP worker will defeat a big Congress leader”, saying that Rajesh Munat has been a minister earlier. Rajesh Munat keeps saying something or the other to express his pain. He keeps saying something or the other after joining the cabinet. Rajesh Munat’s mental condition is not good right now.

Talks have been held with Brijmohan regarding Raipur South: Shiv Dahria

Regarding the by-election on Raipur West seat, Shiv Dahria said that “There has been a talk with Brijmohan Agarwal regarding Raipur South. You will know in the coming days what has been discussed. Better results will be seen in favour of Congress in Raipur South.”

Shiv Dahria took a jibe at the BJP Working Committee meeting and said that BJP workers are angry with the work of the BJP government. In-charge Om Mathur fled from Chhattisgarh due to the work of the government. On the other hand, Nitin Navin became the BJP state in-charge. Regarding this, Dahria said that former in-charge Om Mathur was angry with the work of the government. That is why he left Chhattisgarh. BJP won the election under his leadership. Now Nitin Navin does not have much to do.

BJP called the government a failure due to the shortage of DAP across the country

There is a shortage of DAP across the country, regarding this Dahriya said that the double engine government is pulling in different directions. The double engine government has completely failed. There is a shortage of DAP and urea in the entire country. This is a symbol of the failure of the Center.

A dig was taken at the problems of train cancellation

Regarding the problem of frequent train cancellations in the state, former minister Shiv Daharia said that even if 10 MPs from Chhattisgarh meet the Railway Minister or the Prime Minister, nothing will happen because Adani has to take the coal, so the trains will be cancelled. He alleged that more priority is being given to coal than passenger trains.

Brijmohan Agrawal’s reply to Bayana’s statement on train cancellation issue

On Brijmohan Agrawal’s statement that “railway system will be fixed in one year”, former minister Shiv Dahria said that Brijmohan Agrawal should first tell when he will get relief from his problem.

Strategy will be prepared in the two-day meeting of Congress: Shiv Dahria

Apart from this, former minister Dahriya told about the two-day meeting of Congress that the fact finding committee of Congress had come. Discussions have been held with the prominent leaders in the division. The prominent leaders at the state level will now discuss and understand what strategy should be adopted. BJP has given many issues to Congress, there is the issue of law and order, farmers, such a problem never arose in the Congress government, the BJP government is trying to discourage the farmers. The BJP government has completely failed.

  • Ahead Of Haryana Polls, BJP Appoints New Incharge; Will It Help Saffron Party? |

Ahead of the October Assembly elections in Haryana, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has appointed Dr. Satish Punia and Rajya Sabha MP Surender Nagar as the incharge and co-incharge of the Haryana BJP, respectively. This announcement was made by BJP president JP Nadda as part of a pan-India release of incharges and co-incharges for state units.

Dr. Satish Punia, who previously served as the BJP president of Rajasthan, will take over from Biplab Deb, the Tripura MP and former chief minister.

    If Elections Were Today…

The timing of these appointments is crucial, as recent voting data at the Assembly segment level suggests a competitive race in Haryana. If elections were held today, the data indicates a split house, with the Opposition INDIA bloc likely emerging as the leading alliance. This prediction comes on the heels of the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, where the BJP’s performance saw a significant decline.

The party’s seat count dropped from a dominant position in 2019 to securing only five seats in the most recent elections, while the Congress matched this with five seats of their own. Moreover, the BJP’s vote share decreased from 58.21% to 46.11%, whereas the Congress saw an increase from 28.51% to 43.67%.

Despite contesting only one seat, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) managed to raise its vote share from 0.36% to 3.94%, reflecting a growing influence in the region.

    Terrified From Strengthening Opposition

In the Assembly segments, the BJP led in 44 out of 90 seats, closely followed by the Congress with leads in 42 seats, and the AAP in the remaining four seats. Neither the Jannayak Janata Party (JJP) nor the Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) led in any segments.

This shows that the BJP would fall just short of the 46-seat majority mark needed to form a government. In contrast, the combined tallies of the Congress and AAP would grant the INDIA bloc a simple majority. However, the lack of an alliance between the Congress and AAP this time has provided the BJP with some breathing room.

    Balancing Caste Equations

The caste equations play a vital role in Haryana politics, which explains why the leading contenders go out of their way to balance them in the run-up to the polls. In Haryana, OBCs account for the largest chunk of voters at about 30%, followed by Jats at nearly 25%, and the Scheduled Castes (SCs) at about 20%. To effectively target the OBC community, the BJP has appointed Satish Punia as the co-incharge for the Haryana elections.

As the election date approaches, Punia and Nagar’s roles will be critical in shaping the party’s strategy and execution on the ground.

  • Iran Elections 2024: Reformist Masoud Pezeshkian Wins Presidential Polls |

Reformist candidate Masoud Pezeshkian has secured a win in the presidential elections in Iran, CNN reported, citing Press TV.

Out of 30.5 million votes counted in Friday’s runoff, Pezeshkian received over 16.3 million votes while his ultraconservative rival Saeed Jalili got more than 13.5 million votes, CNN said.

According to election headquarters under the auspices of the interior ministry, the voter turnout was 49.8 per cent in the Iran’s presidential elections, the report said.

Pezeshkian was elected in a second round of voting after he received the highest number of votes in the first round, ahead of Jalili. The first round witnessed the lowest turnout for a presidential election since Iran was established in 1979.

He will become the president of a country that is facing rising international isolation, internal discontent, a spiralling economy and the prospect of direct conflict with Israel.

Snap elections were held in Iran after President Ebrahim Raisi died in a chopper crash along with Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian and other officials in Iran’s remote northwest in May.

Pezeshkian was the only reformist candidate who was contesting for the top elected seat in Iran after dozens of other candidates were stopped from running. He has backed holding talks with Iran’s foes, especially over its nuclear program and considers that as a means to address domestic issues in Iran.

At a recent presidential debate, Pezeshkian said, “The primary issue is the perspective: Do we want to solve our problems with the world or not? I believe we must get out of the deadlock to solve the country’s problems.”

President in Iran enjoys some powers. However, the ultimate authority lies with Iran’s supreme leader, who has the final say on the matters of state.

Masoud Pezeshkian was a health minister under reformist president Mohammad Khatami. He is a trained heart surgeon and lawmaker. He gained the attention of people for his stance against the crackdown on the 2009 pro-democracy protests and the violence perpetrated by the notorious morality police in 2022 after Mahsa Amini’s death.

Mahsa Amini died in the custody of morality police after being detained for not following Iran’s strict dress code for women. Hundreds of people were killed and thousands were arrested as the authorities wanted to suppress the protest, CNN reported, citing the United Nations.

Amini died in the custody of the morality police after being detained for not adhering to the Islamic Republic’s strict dress code for women. Hundreds were killed and thousands arrested as the authorities sought to crush the protests, according to the United Nations.

During the 2022 protests, Pezeshkian, in an interview with Iran’s IRINN TV, said, “It is our fault. We want to implement religious faith through the use of force. This is scientifically impossible.”

He said, “I bear part of the blame, the distinguished religious scholars and the mosques bear part of the blame, and the (Iranian) broadcasting authority bears part of the blame.”

He added, “Everybody should step forward and be held accountable, rather than capture that girl, beat her up, and eventually deliver her body (to her family).”

Pezeshkian (69) has presented himself as a candidate for all the people of Iran. After he lost his wife and one of his children in a car crash in 1994, he devoted much of his time to politics. He ran for president in the 2013 and 2021 polls. However, he was unable to make headway.

He hails from an ethnically mixed family. His father is Azeri and his mother is Kurdish and his mother tongue is not Persian. that has burnished

The 69-year-old hails from an ethnically mixed family – his father is Azeri and his mother is Kurdish. Persian isn’t his mother tongue. That has burnished his image for minorities in Iran. However, this has him open to xenophobic attacks from some opponents.

According to experts, a more moderate face as Iran’s President could facilitate talks between Iran and Western nations. Pezeshkian might also bring some social changes, which he had talked about during his election campaign. However, experts have said that such moves are far from guaranteed.

Sanam Vakil, director of the Middle East and North Africa Programme at the Chatham House think tank in London, said it’s unlikely that Pezeshkian’s election would immediately translate into policy changes.

Vakil further said, “But Pezeshkian has made it clear that he will try to work through and within the system in order to perhaps accommodate a less repressive environment,” CNN reported.

She stated that reformist did not guarantee that he could make those changes, adding that this shows the limits of presidential powers in Iran. Vakil added, “But (it may add) a bit more room for maneuver on social freedoms.”

He will become Iran’s President at a time when Iran is facing escalating tensions with Israel and its western allies, triggered by the war between Israel and Hamas in Gaza and the advancement of Iran’s nuclear program.

A few months ago, Iran and Israel exchanged fire for the first time as the conflict in Gaza widened. Israel is now preparing for a potential second front against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

Last week, Iran’s mission to the United Nations said that should Israel “embark on full-scale military aggression” against Lebanon, then “an obliterating war will ensue,” CNN reported.

In a post on X, Iran’s mission to the UN stated, “All options, including the full involvement of all Resistance Fronts, are on the table.”

In response, Israeli Foreign Minister Israel Katz said that “a regime that threatens destruction deserves to be destroyed.” According to experts, Pezeshkian is not expected to change the trajectory on Israel.

  • These 5 players can replace Rohit in T20, Chhota Sehwag is also included

Rohit Sharma Replacement: Team India captain Rohit Sharma will no longer be seen in the T20 format, as he announced his retirement after winning the title in the T20 World Cup 2024. Know about the five contenders who have emerged for Rohit’s place in this article.

After winning the T20 World Cup 2024, Rohit Sharma has said goodbye to the T20 format. Rohit is among the legendary T20 players who have scored the most runs in this format for India. He made his T20 debut against England on 19 September 2007, this was the same match in which Yuvraj Singh scored a fifty in 12 balls by hitting 6 sixes in 6 balls in the World Cup. The special thing is that Rohit started his career with a World Cup win and also ended his career by winning the World Cup of the same format.

How was Rohit Sharma’s career in T20? (Rohit Sharma Replacement)

Rohit Sharma is the highest run scorer in T20 International. He scored 4231 runs. Virat Kohli is next in line. Rohit has scored 5 centuries in this format while batting aggressively. Now the question is who will replace Rohit in T20 for Team India? There are 6 contenders for this, who can replace the Hitman.

Who will replace Rohit? Yashasvi Jaiswal

This 22-year-old player bats in an explosive style. So far, he has scored 500 plus runs with a century in 17 T20 matches. He has an attacking batting approach like Rohit. He plays for Rohit’s home team Mumbai.

    ishan kishan

This left-handed opener has participated in 32 matches for Team India. Kishan played T20 in 2021 and ODI World Cup in 2023. If Yashasvi fails on the Zimbabwe tour, then BCCI can give Kishan a chance again. Therefore, Kishan is the second strong contender to replace Rohit.

    KL Rahul

Rahul has been an important player for Team India. So far, 2 centuries have come from his bat in T20. However, due to slow batting, he was dropped from the team in 2024 after playing 2 consecutive World Cups in 2021 and 2022. If Rahul adopts an attacking batting approach again, then perhaps he can become a good opener in place of Rohit.

    Abhishek Sharma

This player did amazing batting in IPL 2024. He scored 484 runs at a strike rate of 204.22 and took his team to the final. The special thing is that Abhishek does spin bowling along with left-hand batting, which makes up for the lack of an all-rounder. If Abhishek performs well against Zimbabwe, he can replace Rohit.

    Prithvi Shaw

This player became famous as soon as he came. He won the Under-19 World Cup for India in 2018. Then he started his international career with a bang. The Indian team had a lot of expectations from this player, but he could not live up to the expectations. However, he has been scoring runs in domestic cricket for the last one year. The special thing is that Prithvi is also unbeatable in attacking batting. If this player maintains his fitness, he can replace Rohit. Shaw is also called Chota Sehwag.

  • Record Beer Sales in Ghaziabad: Residents Consume Nearly Rs 400 Crore Worth During Heatwave |

GHAZIABAD, July 5 (AP) — The intense heatwave in Ghaziabad over the past few months has driven residents to consume nearly Rs 400 crore worth of beer, according to the excise department. Officials attribute this record-breaking sales figure to the extreme temperatures and stable prices.

The National Capital Region, including Ghaziabad, experienced severe heat, prompting people to seek various ways to cool down. While many turned to traditional summer beverages like lemonade, lassi, and buttermilk, a significant number of Ghaziabad residents opted for alcoholic beverages, especially beer, leading to substantial revenue for the excise department.

From April to June 2024, beer enthusiasts in Ghaziabad consumed an impressive Rs 397.16 crore worth of beer, marking a 106% increase compared to the same period last year. The sale of beer cans saw an even higher surge, with a 116% increase. Last year, 11.5 million cans were sold, while this year, the figure jumped to over 13.3 million cans.

Despite the rising temperatures causing discomfort, many found respite and enjoyment in beer. The excise department, benefiting from this trend, recorded significant revenue gains during these three months.

Rakesh Kumar, the district excise inspector, confirmed that the unprecedented sales were largely due to the relentless heat and stable beer prices. He noted, “The data clearly shows that the intense heat and no price hike were the primary reasons for the exceptional revenue of Rs 397 crore.”

The excise department’s substantial revenue from beer sales during the heatwave highlights how extreme weather conditions can impact consumer behaviour and local economies.

  • Indians dominate UK elections, win in record numbers

In the UK general election, about 28 MPs of Indian origin have been elected to the House of Commons. The results of the UK election have come, in which Rishi Sunak’s Conservative Party has suffered a crushing defeat. The Labor Party has won this election and has won more than 400 seats. Keir Starmer of the Labor Party has become the new Prime Minister of Britain. Starmer was elected the new leader of the Labor Party in 2020, replacing Jeremy Corbyn.

Out of the 28 Indian-origin MPs who have won in Britain, a record 12 members are from the Sikh community. This includes 6 women who have been elected to the House of Commons. All the winning Sikh MPs belong to the Labour Party. Out of these, 9 are MPs who have been elected for the first time, while there are 2 MPs who have been given a chance by the public thrice. One Sikh MP has got a chance to go to the House of Commons for the second time.

Sikh MPs won from these seats

According to the Indian Express report, Sikh MPs Preet Kaur Gill and Tanmanjit Singh Dhesi won for the third time in Birmingham Edgbaston and Slough respectively on the Labor Party ticket. Nadia Whittome won for the second time from Nottingham East. When Whittome was first elected MP in 2019, she was the youngest MP in the House of Commons at the age of 23. Nadia describes herself as a Catholic Sikh.

Kirith Entwistle, also known as Kirith Ahluwalia, became the first woman to be elected MP from Bolton North East. Sonia Kumar has also become the first woman MP from Dudley parliamentary seat. Harpreet Kaur Uppal has also become an MP for the first time by winning the Huddersfield parliamentary seat. Canada ranks first in terms of Sikh MPs, where there are 18 Sikh MPs, while Britain is second with 12 MPs.

These Indian origin leaders got victory

Munira Wilson won back her Twickenham constituency. • Amazon vs. Flipkart: Which Platform Provides Better Electronics Shopping Experience? |

New Delhi: A recent survey by Tech Arc, an Indian technology research firm, has placed Amazon ahead of Flipkart in providing better information and immersive experiences for personal electronics. While both Amazon and Flipkart do not compromise on the depth of information made available to potential buyers, the former has an edge in terms of offering information in a clean interface, the survey noted.

The research firm in its report also showed that despite India’s strong offline retail presence, online shopping has surged in the past decade, especially for electronics, which make up over 50% of the Gross Merchandise Value (GMV) for marketplaces.

The survey highlighted the importance of information availability in building customer trust. Consumers value comprehensive product details, transparent pricing, timely delivery, and reliable after-sale support. Tech Arc compared Amazon and Flipkart in four key personal electronics categories: smartphones, smart TVs, TWS earbuds, and soundbars.

Smartphones contribute over 60% of the electronics GMV. Both Amazon and Flipkart provide extensive information on specifications and features. However, as per the survey, Amazon’s clean interface and use of product images create a more engaging experience. Amazon’s visual explanations of complex technologies, such as camera setups and fast-charging mechanisms, help buyers make quicker decisions.

In the Smart TV category, the survey found Amazon offering more comprehensive information than Flipkart. Detailed descriptions on Amazon boost consumer confidence and streamline the purchasing process.

“Comparing listings on Amazon and Flipkart, we can see that the information available on Amazon is much more comprehensive than on Flipkart giving consumers a detailed description of the features and specifications of a Smart TV they are considering.  The detailed information available on Amazon increases the level of confidence of consumers in buying decisions and also does not hinder their flow of purchase, the report stated.

TWS earbuds, a category with many domestic and global players, demand detailed information on features like ANC and Dolby support. With over 90% of sales through online channels, consumers rely heavily on comprehensive product details. The survey indicated that Amazon leads in providing detailed information. A comparison of OnePlus Nord Buds 2 listings showed Amazon ensuring informed purchases.

Soundbars are gaining popularity for enhancing audio and video content consumption. The survey noted Amazon’s superior provision of detailed information compared to Flipkart. For instance, the comparison of boAt Aavante Bar Tune listings showed Amazon offering extensive product details.

While Flipkart provides substantial information, Amazon’s detailed approach eliminates potential roadblocks and speeds up the buying journey, the survey said. To further enhance the experience, Amazon could incorporate more videos and AI-driven interactivity, paving the way for conversational commerce, it added.

A lot of things happened and I always felt that if I give any answer, it would be through sports.. . So I believed that I would stay strong, will work hard,” Hardik Pandya said during an interaction with PM Modi at the Prime Minister’s residence in Delhi. India pacer Jasprit Bumrah got his hands on his first ICC World Cup trophy after India’s success in the T20 World Cup final against South Africa in Barbados. During his interaction with PM Modi, the pacer said bowling in crucial and difficult situations helped him gain confidence that he carry forward.

“Whenever I bowl for India, I bowl in very crucial stages. Whenever the situation is difficult, I have to bowl in that situation. So I feel very good when I am able to help the team and if I am able to win the match from any difficult situation, then I get a lot of confidence and I carry that confidence forward as well. And especially in this tournament, there were many situations where I had to bowl tough overs and I was able to help the team and win the match,” Bumrah said.

On Thursday, after the Indian team left the national capital and arrived in Mumbai, the Rohit Sharma-led team kicked off the open-top bus parade from Marine Drive. Fans turned up in numbers, danced to the tune of India’s success, and celebrated the arrival of the T20 World Cup-winning team.
