  • 4 year old murder case solved, two accused arrested, killers made it look like an accident to mislead police

Purushottam Patra, Gariaband. Devbhog police has solved the 4-year-old murder case in Dahigaon with the help of cyber cell. Police has arrested two persons in the case. On the night of 26 June 2020, there was a dispute between 22-year-old deceased Jhajketan, a resident of Dahigaon, and Deviram Pradhan, 51 years of age, of the same village, over a complaint of toddy sale. In the dispute, Deviram hit Jhajketan on the head with a stone, due to which he died on the spot. But the accused made it look like an accident.

In the case, Devbhog police station chief Gautam Gawade said on Sunday that the police have registered a case under the sections 302, 201(34) against Devisingh Pradhan, 51, and Hemsingh Rajak, 41, and are ready to send the accused behind bars.

Question raised on the action of the then police station in-charge of deceased Jhajketan

Initially, the accused and his associate Hemsingh Rajak made it look like an accident. Instead of informing Devbhog, he was directly taken to Dharmagarh Hospital in Odisha. Hemsingh told a false story and informed the police station, on which the police registered a case on 27 June 2020. Surprisingly, the then doctor Anju Sonwani had expressed the possibility of murder in the PM report and mentioned that the head was hit by a heavy object. Despite this, the then police station in-charge Harshvardhan Bais closed the case by covering it up by citing lack of evidence.

The father said that he used to threaten to send me to jail if I asked for justice

The deceased’s father Phoolchand Rajak said that though late, I finally got justice. The burden of raising the deceased’s widow and innocent son is also on Phoolchand. Phoolchand said that the murder was the talk of the town. But the police was not listening, despite my repeated requests, instead of giving me justice, the station in-charge threatened to send me to jail.

Inquiry regarding money transactions also started

The investigation has also revealed the matter of the previous transactions. The circumstances under which the agreement letter was made are also being investigated. It is reported that after the accused confirmed the transaction, the police have also summoned those who were involved in the transaction at that time. The police is investigating the role of the then officer in the case by summoning him to the police station.

  • Microsoft To Plan Major Windows Security Changes From Accessing Windows Kernel After CrowdStrike Outage |

CrowdStrike Outage: Tech Giant Microsoft plans to make crucial changes to Windows security architecture after a global outage caused by a faulty CrowdStrike update last week. This global outage impacted nearly all sectors, including the financial sector (stock market, banks, and NBFCs), public transport, aviation, corporations, media broadcasting, and hospitality.

Moreover, the issue also affected 8.5 million PCs. This outage has prompted Microsoft to reassess the resilience of its operating system and consider limiting kernel-level access for third-party security vendors.

Microsoft is pushing for these changes and has hinted that it wants to make Windows stronger and may prevent security vendors like CrowdStrike from accessing the Windows Kernel. Now, the company is looking into new options that don’t need kernel access, such as VBS enclaves and the Azure Attestation service. These technologies use zero-trust methods to improve security without the risks associated with kernel-level operations.

It is important to note that Cybersecurity firm CrowdStrike has admitted that the problem was caused by an update to its antivirus software, which is designed to protect Microsoft Windows devices from malicious attacks.

    What is CrowdStrike?

CrowdStrike is a global security software provider, serving numerous Fortune 500 companies, including major banks, healthcare, and energy firms. Affected systems often display the Blue Screen of Death and fail to restart properly. Founded in 2011 and based in Austin, Texas, CrowdStrike operates in over 170 countries and employed more than 7,900 people as of January.

What Is Blue Screen Of Death?

The Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) appears when the Windows operating system encounters a critical error and crashes. While the BSOD signifies that Windows has reached an unstable state and can’t continue running safely, it is frequently triggered by relatively minor issues that can be resolved easily.

New Delhi: The Delhi Police have detained the coordinator of Rau’s IAS centre and the owner of the building in Old Rajinder Nagar following the tragic flooding in the centre’s basement, which resulted in the deaths of three students, including two women. The arrested individuals have been identified as the owner, Abhishek Gupta, and the coordinator, Deshpal Singh. The detentions were made after a criminal case was filed post the completion of search and rescue operations early Sunday.

    Here Are Latest Updates:

    – The flooding at Rau’s IAS centre in Old Rajinder Nagar, which claimed the lives of three students, was caused by the bursting of a nearby drain, rapidly inundating the basement library area. According to reports by Zee News TV, the library had only a single exit equipped with biometric identification. The failure of this system during the incident prevented the trapped students from escaping.

    – Atul Garg, Director of Delhi Fire Services, recounted the rescue efforts following the flooding at Rau’s IAS centre in Karol Bagh. “At around 7:10 pm yesterday, we received a call about heavy rain in the area and children trapped in a basement. When we arrived, the basement was full of water.” He added that the team tried to pump out the water, but the water from the road water kept flowing in, prolonging the process.

    – “Once the road water receded, we managed to reduce the basement water level from 12 feet to 8 feet and retrieved the students’ bodies. The rescue operation is now complete, and all water has been pumped out. The reasons for water entering the basement and the operation of a class there are under inquiry,” City’s fire official told ANI.

    – The three deceased have been identified as Navin Dalwin from Kerala, Shreya Yadav from Ambedkar Nagar in Uttar Pradesh, and Tanya Soni.

    – According to Zee News TV, the basement, which had received clearance from the Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) to function as a storage unit, was operating as a full-fledged library despite being allotted a No Objection Certificate (NOC) specifically for storage purposes.

    – In response to the incident, several students have gathered outside the centre, protesting and demanding immediate action against those responsible. Also Read: Protests Continue After 3 IAS Aspirants Killed In Delhi Coaching Basement Flood | Video
