  • Make UPI Payments Without Internet: Here’s Your Step-by-Step Guide |

New Delhi: As India moves towards a cashless economy, online payments have become a vital part of daily life. UPI transactions are leading the way. However, for digital payments  to work smoothly we must have a reliable internet connection. But sometimes, poor connectivity can get in the way which makes it difficult to complete online transactions and causes frustration.

To tackle this issue, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has launched a special service that allows UPI transactions without needing an internet connection. Users can simply utilize the official USSD code on their smartphones to make transactions effortlessly.

To make UPI transactions without internet, simply follow these steps:

    – Dial *99# on your smartphone using the number linked to your bank account. This will bring up a menu with options like Send Money, Request Money, and Check Balance.

    – To send money, type ‘1’ and hit ‘Send’.

    – Next, choose your preferred transaction method, such as Mobile Number, UPI ID, or Saved Beneficiary.

    – Enter the receiver’s mobile number linked to their UPI account.

    – Input the amount you wish to send and tap ‘Send’.

    – You can also add a remark for the payment if you’d like.

    – Finally, enter your UPI PIN to complete the transaction.

You can also use UPI Lite for transactions which offers a simpler experience compared to traditional bank services. However, keep in mind that you will need an internet connection to access UPI Lite. This option is specifically designed for payments under Rs 500.

In other UPI news, the National Payments Corporation of India (NPCI) has introduced a new payment solution called UPI Circle. This feature allows a primary user to authorize other individuals to make transactions from their UPI account under specific conditions.

  • The tractor was blown to pieces after being hit by a truck loaded with ration, the driver was seriously injured, the family held him hostage for treatment

Purushottam Patra, Gariaband. A case has come to light in Ghumrapadar of the district where villagers have held a truck loaded with 200 bags of ration hostage for the past 3 days. This truck had arrived here on 20th September to drop ration from Devbhog Warehouse, after dumping the ration the vehicle got stuck in the shop premises. The truck driver called a villager with a tractor to pull the vehicle out. During this, the truck hit the tractor, due to which the tractor driver was seriously injured. During this, the angry family members of the driver and the villagers held the truck hostage demanding compensation. Today Amlipar police went to release it but the matter did not work out.

Actually, on 20th September, the truck had left from Devbhog warehouse to drop ration. After dumping ration in Ghumrapadar, the vehicle got stuck in the shop premises. Madhuram’s tractor from the same village was called to pull it out. Madhu’s son Jitendra (26 years) was driving the tractor. After towing, the truck somehow started, so the tractor gave it a side to move ahead. The truck moved ahead but could not climb the courtyard, it reversed and hit the tractor’s head. The first time only the tractor was shattered. When the driver carelessly hit the truck for the second time, the tractor driver Jitendra’s ears were torn. The driver was badly injured. First he was admitted to Amlipadar and then to Devbhog hospital. The case was serious, so he was referred to Raipur. Jitendra is admitted in a private hospital in the capital since the night of 20th. Father Madhuram is adamant on demanding the full cost of treatment from the truck owner, the family members along with the villagers have held the truck hostage along with 200 bags of ration for the last three days. It is surprising that despite the matter being serious, Amlipar police has not yet registered a case.

Here, the police reached the village along with the revenue officers and were trying to convince the family. An attempt was made to collect Rs. 40,000 and give it to the family who was demanding the cost of treatment, but the family is demanding the full cost of treatment.

In this case, Amlipar police station in-charge Jai Singh Dhruve said that since the date of the incident, the victim’s family is being asked to become an applicant. They say that if a case is registered, they will not be able to get medical expenses from the truck owner. Today again it has been said that the family is not ready to agree. Tomorrow I will register the case at any cost.

  • Microsoft Launches New Unified Windows App For MacOS, iOS, Android Devices |

New Delhi: Microsoft has officially launched a new Windows app designed for a variety of platforms, including macOS, iOS, iPadOS, Android, and Windows PCs. This innovative application serves as a central hub for streaming Windows from multiple sources, such as Windows 365, Azure Virtual Desktop, and Remote Desktop, effectively unifying the experience for users across different devices, according to The Verge.

After nearly a year of testing, the new app reportedly includes features such as a customizable home screen, multi-monitor support, and USB redirection, allowing users to connect local devices-like webcams, storage devices, and printers-as if they were directly linked to a cloud PC.

This functionality enhances the versatility of remote work and streamlines the user experience. However, the app is currently limited to Microsoft work and school accounts, primarily targeting existing users of Remote Desktop clients.

It reportedly aims to facilitate a smoother transition for these users to the new platform.Microsoft has offered similar remote access applications for years, including the Remote Desktop Connection tool that remains part of Windows 11.

Despite the app’s robust features, there are currently no indications that Microsoft intends to support consumer accounts, as per The Verge.

Last year, the company disclosed its long-term vision of transitioning Windows entirely to a cloud-based model to enhance AI-powered services and allow users greater flexibility in their digital experiences.

The Verge reported that users can download the new Windows app from the Microsoft Store, while macOS, iOS, and iPadOS versions are available via Apple’s App Store. As per reports from The Verge, the Android version is also entering public preview today, broadening access to a wider range of users. (With Inputs From ANI)

“We aim to identify key issues, foster open dialogue and collectively agree on a strategic path forward to successfully reshape Pakistan cricket.” PCB chief Mohsin Naqvi said in a statement.

“The Connection Camp is a critical step toward unifying our approach to restore Pakistan cricket to its former glory. Our aim is to identify key issues, foster open dialogue and collectively agree on a strategic path forward. The PCB remains optimistic that this session, which builds on prior discussions with former cricketers, will lead to a results-driven strategy that improves both player management and team performance.”

Pakistan Test captain Masood said the session will focus on setting performance benchmarks, developing player development programs, and formulating strategies to enhance grassroots cricket.

Red-ball head coach Jason Gillespie and white-ball coach Gary Kirsten have also expressed optimism that the meeting will be beneficial.

Kirsten said the focus is on refining the approach to white-ball cricket, building a team that can consistently perform at the highest level and bringing joy to the fans who support them. The PCB leadership group will also attend the meeting besides the national selectors.
