  • Electric buses will soon run in Raipur, Durg-Bhilai, Bilaspur and Korba, Chhattisgarh got approval for 240 e-buses under PM e-Bus Seva Yojana

Satya Rajput, Raipur. On the special initiative of Chief Minister Vishnu Dev Sai, the Government of India has approved 240 e-buses for public transport under the PM e-bus service scheme in four cities of Chhattisgarh state. Now e-bus service will soon be started in Bilaspur, Durg-Bhilai and Korba including the capital Raipur.

Deputy Chief Minister Arun Saw said that the PM e-bus service scheme has been started by the central government to improve the infrastructure of public transport in urban areas. Under the scheme, the number of buses for the states has been determined on the basis of the population of the cities. Under this, on the proposal sent by the Chhattisgarh Urban Development Department, the Government of India has approved 100 e-buses for Raipur, 50 for Durg-Bhilai, 50 for Bilaspur and 40 for Korba, thus a total of 240 e-buses.

This scheme of the Government of India is a part of the effort to link the central assistance given to the states with transparency and their performance. The central government intends that this scheme should be developed as an alternative or supporting means of metro in cities, so that people get the facility of affordable, reliable and easy transport.

Deputy Chief Minister Saw said that under this innovative scheme of public transport service, the central government will provide financial assistance to the cities for the purchase and operation of buses. A large part of this will also be spent for the development of infrastructure like bus depots in cities. The general conditions of the scheme also include that third party audit of the money given under the project will be mandatory, so that there is complete transparency.

Under the PM E Bus Seva Yojana, the account of bus operations will have to be given every three months. Under the scheme, three types of buses, standard, medium and mini, will be plying. Cities have been divided into four categories on the basis of population. Cities with a population of 20 to 40 lakhs were eligible for 150 e-buses, cities with a population of 10 to 20 lakhs and 5 to 10 lakhs were eligible for 100-100 e-buses, and cities with a population less than 5 lakhs were eligible for 50 e-buses, on the basis of which Raipur has been approved for 100 medium e-buses, Durg Bhilai for 50 medium e-buses, Bilaspur for 35 medium and 15 mini e-buses, and Korba for 20 medium and 20 mini e-buses.

According to the guidelines of the scheme, the purchase of buses and the selection of operating agency will be done by the central government and central assistance will be given on the basis of assured kilometer operation and if the buses run less kilometers than this, then the central assistance will be reduced in the same proportion. The central government will give money on the basis of performance of the cities. DPRs of civil and power infrastructure and metering for operation are being prepared by the cities after getting approval from the Government of India.

Deputy Chief Minister Saw said that with the start of e-bus service, there will be improvement in air quality and environmental protection due to less carbon emission in the cities of Chhattisgarh along with less energy consumption and better fuel efficiency and comfortable transport facility will be available to the citizens.

  • World fastest Train: Our Vande Bharat does not stand anywhere in front of these… Know which are the fastest trains in the world

World’s fastest Trains: Many new revolutions are taking place in the world every day. There was a time when one could reach the destination after travelling for months. But now the world has progressed so much that long distances can be covered in just a few hours.

Trains are the first thing that comes to people’s minds when it comes to the most economical, safe and fast means of travel in the world. If we talk about India, our country’s Vande Bharat Express is capable of running at a speed of 180 km per hour. The Railway Board has given permission to run it at a speed of 130 km. But it is not able to run at full speed. The reason for this is that the tracks in the country are not suitable for this. But in many countries of the world, trains are running at a speed of more than 300 km. Today we will tell you about such fast trains of the world that disappear from sight in the blink of an eye. They complete the journey of hours in minutes.

    1- Shanghai Maglev (China)

The world’s fastest train runs in China. It connects Shanghai to Pudong Airport and Longyang Station. If we talk about its speed, it runs at a speed of 460 kilometers per hour. This train has the record of completing a journey of 30 kilometers in just seven and a half minutes.

It is run using Germany’s Maglev or magnetic levitation technology. It does not require wheels, axles, or bearings. The wheels of this Maglev rail do not come in contact with the rail track, rather it flies in a way.

2- CR Harmony and CR Fuxing

The CR Harmony and CR Fuxing high-speed trains built by China Railway Corporation are known for their speed. The Harmony train travels at a speed of 350 kilometres per hour and has achieved a test speed of 486.1 kilometres per hour.

Fuxing also runs at a speed of 350 km/h, with test speeds reaching 420 km/h. These trains can carry about 1,200 people. They are operated on the Beijing-Shanghai-Hong Kong and Beijing-Harbin routes.

    3- TGV POS (France)

France is also included in the case of the fastest train. In April 2007, France ran a train at a speed of 574.8 kilometers per hour. Which is the highest in the record till date. The TGV POS operated by SNCF is designed for the high-speed rail lines of France.

It connects Paris to the German border. This train runs at a speed of more than 320 kilometers per hour. It reaches a speed of 0 to 320 kilometers per hour in just 5 minutes and 20 seconds.

    4- Renfe Avenue 103 (Spain)

The Siemens Velaro Renfe Ave 103 set a world record of 403.7 km/h during testing on the Madrid-Barcelona line in 2006. It normally runs at 350 km/h.

Its specialty is that it is able to withstand snow and ice. However, in severe snow conditions it has to run at a speed of about 160 kilometers per hour. About 1200 people can travel in these trains.

    5- KTX (South Korea)

The KTX running between Seoul and Busan can run at a speed of 305 kmph. It was introduced in 2004 and is capable of running at a speed of 330 kmph. It is built on the lines of France’s TGV technology.

This has almost halved the travel time between Seoul and Busan. A journey that previously took four hours now takes two hours and 15 minutes.

  • The High Court refused to grant exemption in sentence to the accused of raping a minor, the petition was rejected, know the whole case

Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. While hearing the case of rape of a minor in Jashpur district 5 years ago, Bilaspur High Court has rejected the appeal of the accused. The court has said that in the case of rape, the decision to file a report is taken after a lot of thought. In such a situation, the accused cannot be given any relaxation in his punishment on the basis of delay in filing the case.

According to the information, the 14-year-old victim living in Jashpur district was alone at home on the night of 24 December 2018, her parents had gone to church, at night the 40-year-old accused living in the village came and forcefully took her to Paravat and raped her. The accused threatened to kill her by poisoning her if she told anyone about the incident. After this, the accused had sex with her several times. In April 2019, when the victim’s mother inquired about her pale face, the victim told her mother about her ordeal. Here, when the girl’s menstruation stopped, the accused told her that he gave her a pill to abort the pregnancy. When the mother came to know about it, she filed a report in the police station on 28 April 2019. After this, the police arrested the accused.

The accused was sentenced to 20 years in prison

It is noteworthy that the court has sentenced the accused to 20 years of imprisonment under the POCSO Act as the victim was a minor. Against which she had appealed in the High Court. In which the main basis for the delay in filing the FIR was the demand to cancel the sentence. The court said in its order after the hearing that there was a slight delay in filing the FIR in the case. However, it is clear from the evidence in the case that the appellant repeatedly sexually assaulted the minor. The court further said that when a woman is raped, many aspects are discussed and considered before filing a report. The court considered the victim’s statement sufficient and rejected the accused’s appeal and kept the lower court’s order intact.
