  • ‘Must Honor ICC Commitments’: Moin Khan Warns Indian Team Ahead Of Champions Trophy 2025 | cricket news

Pakistan is set to host the upcoming Champions Trophy 2025 while the participation of the Indian team is still under the scanner as the BCCI has not made any official announcement. India and Pakistan have not taken part in a single bilateral series against each other for a decade. Notably, Pakistan came to India to take part in the 2023 ODI World Cup but India has not taken any final decision.

There have even been a few reports that said that the high-octane tournament may be taking place in a hybrid format but then the ICC has not made any official announcement. Speaking on the same, former Pakistan cricketer Moin Khan came up with a warning for the Indian team.

During an interview with Cricket Pakistan, he said, “India must honor ICC commitments, and if they don’t, Pakistan should also consider taking a stand by not participating in future tournaments in India”.

“In my view, Indian cricket legends should advise the BCCI to keep sports separate from politics. Fans worldwide want India and Pakistan to play, benefiting not just Pakistan but the sport as a whole.”

Earlier, during an interview with ZEE News, former Pakistan cricketer Danish Kaneria said that the Indian team will not go to Pakistan to take part in the upcoming Champions Trophy. He said there are a lot of security concerns for the Indian team.

“The Indian team will not go to Pakistan and they should not. There are a lot of security concerns. As per the PCB chairman, Mohsin Naqvi, the grounds are getting ready for the Champions Trophy which clearly states that currently, Pakistan does not have that infrastructure. See, the Indian team is one of the top tier teams across the world, why would they come to such a country that does not have even peeper international facilities?”, he said.

  • ‘Virat Kohli Played Under My Captaincy’: Tejashwi Yadav On Prashant Kishor’s ‘9th Fail’ Remark |

RJD leader and former Deputy CM of Bihar Tejashwi Yadav often faces opposition flak for his educational qualification. Rivals like Prashant Kishor did not miss an opportunity to question Yadav’s credential that makes him fit to hold the post of Bihar Dy CM or future CM apart from the fact that he is son of former CM Lalu Prasad Yadav. Political analyst Kishor who has now launched a political outfit Jan Suraj has vigorously criticised Yadav from time to time. Now, in an interview with Zee News Bihar/Jharkhand, Tejashwi gave it back to Kishor.

Speaking to the Zee media, Tejashwi Yadav said that when he was playing cricket, top players like Virat Kohli played under his captaincy. “I was a cricketer and no one talks about it. Virat Kohli played in my captaincy -did anyone ever talk about it? Why don’t they do so? As a professional, I played a good cricket. Many Team India players are my batchmates. I had to quit as my both ligaments were fractured. Let it be. There are many brokers of the BJP including political parties and leaders whom the party fields during election seasons against me,” said Yadav. Tejashwi Yadav had earlier said that when he was leading Delhi’s under-15 and under-17 team, Kohli was part of the team.

Brushing asides Prashant Kishor’s allegations, Tejashwi Yadav said that such optics are not going to work in Bihar as people of the state are clever enough to ‘rub turmeric on flying bird’ – a popular slang to indicate that people of Bihar know true motives behind public statements.

Bihar has been witnessing an unstable political situation with CM Nitish Kumar often swtiching sides between the BJP and the RJD. This has significantly affected the Bihar’s growth and development work. The state will now go to the polls around October-November this year where the RJD-Congress will look to win a majority on their own so to avoid a dependence on Nitish Kumar. On the other hand, the BJP will look to maxmize its seats to gain the upper hand in the state.

  • Four Years After Galwan Row, China Withdraws Troops From Site, 3 Other Locations | world news

It has been four years since the Galwan Valley clash, during which relations between India and China soured significantly. China had maintained a strong military presence in the Galwan Valley since then, but the tensions are now gradually easing. After four years, China has ordered its troops to withdraw from the region. The question arises: what has changed after these four years that prompted China to pull back its forces? Let’s dive into the details.

On Friday, September 13, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced that troops have been withdrawn from four locations, including the Galwan Valley, in Eastern Ladakh. The ministry mentioned that during a meeting in Russia, both India and China agreed to work together to create a conducive environment for improving bilateral relations.

According to a press release issued by China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, National Security Advisor Ajit Doval and Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi held talks on Thursday on the sidelines of a high-level BRICS meeting in St. Petersburg, Russia. During this meeting, both sides discussed recent progress in their deliberations on border issues.

A spokesperson from China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs stated, “In recent years, the forward-deployed forces of both countries have completed the withdrawal process from four points along the western sector of the China-India border, including the Galwan Valley. The situation along the China-India border is generally stable and under control.” This statement followed Indian Foreign Minister S. Jaishankar’s remarks in Geneva, where he mentioned that about 75% of the issues related to troop withdrawal with China have been resolved, though the increasing militarization along the border remains a significant concern.

Ajit Doval and Wang Yi, as special representatives for the India-China border negotiations, discussed the future of relations between the two nations. In a detailed press release, China’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that both sides believe the stability of India-China relations is in the fundamental and long-term interest of their people and contributes to regional peace and development.

According to a report by China’s official news agency Xinhua, Wang Yi, a member of the Communist Party of China’s Central Committee Political Bureau, emphasized that in the face of a turbulent world, as two ancient Eastern civilizations and emerging developing nations, China and India should remain steadfast in their independence, choose unity and cooperation, and avoid harming each other. Wang expressed hope that both sides would adopt a pragmatic approach to resolve differences appropriately, find a suitable way to work together, and bring India-China relations back onto a healthy, stable, and sustainable development path.

  • Mamata Banerjee reached the junior doctors’ protest, said- As your chief minister, I have come here for my last attempt…

Kolkata. Two days after the talks with the protesting doctors failed, Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee reached the protest site of junior doctors on Saturday. During this, she said that if the agitators can trust her, she would be ready to consider their demands, but for this she needs time.

Banerjee said the administrative and police officials whose resignations the junior doctors have demanded are not their “friends” – they “need time to investigate” them. He claimed this would be his last attempt to appeal to the junior doctors.

Earlier on Thursday, the scheduled talks between the state government and junior doctors over the issue of livestreaming at Nabanna failed. While the CM waited for two hours for the protesting junior doctors inside Nabanna, the junior doctors remained outside after the state government rejected their demand to live stream the meeting.

The junior doctors at the protest welcomed Mamata Banerjee and said they were ready for discussions with the government “anywhere”, but added that they would stick to their five-point demands.

West Bengal Police Director General Rajiv Kumar reached the protest site with Mamata Banerjee at around 1 pm on Saturday. Holding the microphone, the Chief Minister said, ‘I have come to you personally. My position is not a big thing. People’s positions are big. I could not sleep last night. I felt pain. It was raining last night and you were sitting on the protest… I also had sleepless nights because I am your guardian.’

‘If you return to work. I promise I will study your demands and talk to the authorities. I will consider your demands sensitively. If you trust me, give me some time. I will take action against anyone found guilty.’

Banerjee said, ‘You all are brothers and sisters. Please return to work. We have started work to develop infrastructure in hospitals.’

‘I will make principals chairpersons of all Rogi Kalyan Samitis in all hospitals in the state.’ Earlier these posts were held by political figures, MLAs and MPs. The Chief Minister said, “Everyone, including students, will get proper representation in the committees.”

She said, “As a chief minister, elder sister and being a part of your movement, I will try to solve your problems. I cannot force you. I can only appeal to you. When the CPIM was in power, I went on a hunger strike for 26 days. No one came to me then. I will not take any action against you. We are not the Uttar Pradesh police. We need you back. Think and decide,”

Before leaving the protest site, the chief minister said, “We have to investigate someone’s role before taking action. This cannot happen overnight… If I can come to your dharna stage, trust me and give me some time. No complaint of corruption has come to me. If there is any complaint, we will investigate and punish,” Banerjee reiterated and added, “I promise there will be no injustice,”

Later, speaking to media persons, junior doctor Aniket Mahato said, “The chief minister is the guardian of the state – we welcome her coming to the dharna stage. We have been on the streets for 35 days. It would have been better if talks had taken place earlier. We are ready to talk anytime and anywhere. But there will be no compromise on our five-point demands. We want to return to work.”

Mahato said, “We went to Nabanna, but the government did not allow live streaming. So we had to return.”
