    AirPods Max Headphones: Apple has finally upgraded its over-ear headphones after 4 years and has rolled out the AirPods Max in the Indian market. The device comes with five new colour options: Midnight, Blue, Purple, Orange, and Starlight, and USB-C connectivity. The tech giant also revealed that the updated AirPods Max will support new features with the upcoming iOS 18 update.

    Notably, Apple introduced the new headphones, along with new iPhones and Apple Watch models, on Monday at its “Glowtime” event. The AirPods Max features a stainless steel headband frame with a breathable knit mesh canopy.

    The premium headphones sport a 40-mm Apple-designed dynamic driver. They are equipped with an Apple-designed H1 chip in each ear cup. However, the company did not specify whether this update includes any internal hardware changes, such as an upgraded H2 chip.

    The headphones come with various features, including Adaptive EQ, Active Noise Cancellation, Transparency mode, and spatial audio. They also include a ‘Digital Crown’ feature for controlling audio, answering or ending phone calls, and summoning Siri.

    The wearable device offers a Transparency mode that allows users to hear their surroundings while still enjoying their music, creating an immersive, theatre-like experience.

    According to the company, the AirPods Max offer up to 20 hours of battery life with Active Noise Cancellation and spatial audio enabled.

    Cupertino: The iPhone maker on Monday announced that Apple Intelligence, its personal intelligence system, will start rolling out next month with iOS 18.1, iPadOS 18.1, and macOS Sequoia 15.1, with more features launching in the coming months. 

    In addition, the company introduced the new iPhone 16 lineup, built from the ground up for Apple Intelligence and featuring the faster, more efficient A18 and A18 Pro chips.

    Apple Intelligence will be available as a free software update. The first set of Apple Intelligence features will be available in beta next month. It will be available on iPhone 16, iPhone 16 Plus, iPhone 16 Pro, iPhone 16 Pro Max, iPhone 15 Pro, iPhone 15 Pro Max, and iPad and Mac with M1 and later.

    Apple Intelligence first launches in US English, and will quickly expand to include localised English in Australia, Canada, New Zealand, South Africa, and the U.K. in December, with additional language support — such as Chinese, French, Japanese, and Spanish — coming next year.

    “Many of the models that power Apple Intelligence run entirely on device, and Private Cloud Compute offers the ability to flex and scale computational capacity between on-device processing and larger, server-based models that run on dedicated Apple silicon servers,” said the company.

    With systemwide Writing Tools powered by Apple Intelligence, users can rewrite, proofread, and summarise text nearly everywhere they write.

    In Photos, the Memories feature now enables users to create the movies they want to see by simply typing a description.

    In addition, natural language can be used to search for specific photos, and search in videos gets more powerful with the ability to find specific moments in clips. The new Clean Up tool can identify and remove distracting objects in the background of a photo — without accidentally altering the subject.

  • Kedarnath Landslides: Death Toll Climbs To 5, Rescue Operations Continue |

    Uttarakhand Landslides: In the latest updates pertaining to the landslide that occurred on Monday on the Kedarnath route, four more bodies were recovered on Tuesday from the debris, according to officials.

    On Tuesday, Rudraprayag Police said that more pilgrims could be trapped under the debris. A group of pilgrims returning from a visit to Kedarnath were trapped in the landslide at around 7.20 pm on Monday. Following the incident, a search operation was launched. SDRF and NDRF personnel had launched a rescue operation immediately and retrieved the body of a pilgrim.

    The deceased was identified as Gopal (50) from Dhar in Madhya Pradesh. Amid the rescue operation, three others were rescued and were rushed to Sonprayag in an ambulance. The operation had to be suspended due to bad weather and boulders still falling from the hillside intermittently on Monday night.

    After the search and recuse efforts were resumed on Tuesday morning, bodies of four more pilgrims, including three women, were pulled out of the debris.

    The pilgrims were identified as Durgabai Khapar (50) from Ghat district in Madhya Pradesh, Titli Devi (70) from Vaidehi village of Nepal’s Dhanwa district, Saman Bai (50) from Dhar, Madhya Pradesh, and Bharat Bhai Niralal (52) from Surat, Gujarat. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has expressed grief over the loss of lives in the incident.
