On Friday, India’s wrist spinner Yuzvendra Chahal came up with a heartwarming post for his wife Dhanashree Verma on her birthday. Dhanashree who is a renowned dancer turned 28 and Chahal shared a chain of pictures.

“Another year older, another year more fabulous! Happy Birthday, love”, Chahal captioned. Back in December 2022, the duo tied the knot in an intimate ceremony in Gurugram.

Their love story started when the couple met virtually during COVID lockdown where Chahal was learning dance from Dhanashree.

“When the lockdown happened, I stayed with my family. It was the first time that I stayed at my Gurugram home for so long. Almost three to four months. I enjoyed the time with my family and my pets. Then, it occurred to me that I always wanted to learn dancing. Then I got a suggestion that Dhanashree gives online classes,” Chahal said in an interview on the ‘Humans of Bombay’ YouTube channel.

“Then one day I asked her ‘Why are you so happy in life?’ She replied, ‘I am like that only I seek happiness in small things in life.’ I got the right vibes and I told her, ‘I don’t want to waste time in dating.’ ‘I want to meet you first.’ We never met before that and then she said, ‘Ok, now, yes, fine.’”

Talking about Chahal’s career, despite bowling well in the IPL, he is getting ignored by the management. He was a part of the Indian team that lifted the T20 World Cup 2024 trophy but then he did not get to play any of the games.

  • ‘No Minister Can Go Against Party Ideology’: Congress Warns Vikramaditya Singh Amid ‘Eateries Diktat’ Row |

Himachal Pradesh Minister Vikramaditya Singh sparked controversy over his remarks that coincided with Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s directives mandating the street vendors to display their names. Following his statement, the Congress leadership on Friday reprimanded him, saying that no individual is permitted to act against the party’s policies and ideologies, reported PTI citing party sources.

Congress general secretary, in-charge organisation, KC Venugopal held a meeting with Singh in New Delhi. During the meeting the party conveyed that they believe in former Congress chief Rahul Gandhi’s ideology of fighting hatred with love.

Singh was instructed to follow the party’s ideology and policies, but he responded by informing the leadership that his remarks had been misquoted by the media. Amid backlash over Singh’s statement on mandatory name displays for street vendors, the Himachal Pradesh government clarified on Thursday that no such decision had been made.

    What Congress’ Vikramaditya Said

Vikramaditya Singh, who is the public works and urban development minister on Wednesday told reporters that it would be mandatory to display the names of the proprietor on the street eateries. The decesion he added was inspired by the UP CM Yogi’s orders.

The state government quickly distanced itself from Singh’s remark and clarified that no such order is in function. Sources in Delhi indicated that the Congress central leadership intervened, prompting the Himachal Pradesh government’s clarification.

    How The Himachal Government Responded

Sources in Delhi indicated that the Congress central leadership intervened, prompting the Himachal Pradesh government’s clarification.

AICC Himachal Pradesh in-charge Rajiv Shukla said he discussed the issue with Vikramaditya Singh and CM Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu, noting it stemmed from the assembly speaker’s committee to designate areas for street vendors.

The AICC’s Himachal Pradesh in-charge Rajiv Shukla said on Thursday that he had discussed the issue with Singh and Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu. He had said the matter sprang from the assembly speaker forming a committee to designate specific areas for street vendors, including those selling food and other items.

“They will be given licences and regulated so that police do not harass them. The designated places will require identification such as Aadhaar cards and licences but there is no requirement for them to display a sign stating their name as the owner,” Shukla told reporters in Jammu on Thursday.

“The aim is to ensure that street vendors have proper locations to operate without disrupting traffic, especially since it is a hilly area and has narrow roads.” he had said.

  • Is Chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ Hate Speech? Karnataka High Court Says THIS |

Is chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ a crime or hate speech in India? In a bizarre case, Karnataka Police had booked five men in June this year for promoting enmity by chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. However, the Karnataka High Court has now quashed the FIR saying that chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’ doesn’t come under hate-speech. The Karnataka High Court made the observations while quashing a first information report (FIR) registered against five men under Section 153A of Indian Penal Code (IPC).

    What Is The Case?

The incident is related to June this year when five men were returning from an event celebrating the oath ceremony of Prime Minister Narendra Modi. They were attacked by a group of people who assaulted and stabbed them for chanting ‘Bharat Mata Ki Jai’. The incident took place on June 9. However, when the victims approached the Police, the Karnataka Police registered an FIR against the complainants under several provisions of the IPC, including Section 153A which penalises promoting enmity between different groups on grounds of religion, race and place of birth. The police said that the FIR was registered following a complaint made by a Muslim man who alleged that the petitioners had threatened him. Karnataka is being ruled by Siddaramaiah-led Congress government.

    What High Court Said

Justice M Nagaprasanna not only granted relief to the five accused but also said that not a single ingredient of Section 153A was met in the case. “In the light of the afore-narrated facts and the judgments extracted supra, permitting even investigation into the case at hand would be prima facie permitting investigation into the sloganeering of Bharath Matha Ki Jai inter alia, which can by no stretch of imagination be promoting disharmony or enmity amongst religions,” the Court said.

Justice Nagaprasanna said that this was a case of a counterblast to the complaint that had been registered by the petitioners, reported Bar and Bench.
