  • Big Blow To South Africa As Temba Bavuma Ruled Out Of Second Test Against Bangladesh | cricket news

South Africa captain Temba Bavuma has been ruled out of the second Test against Bangladesh, which will begin on Tuesday in Chattogram. Bavuma failed to recover in time from an elbow injury, and in his absence, Aiden Markam will continue to serve as the stand-in captain of the Proteas.

“We just feel medically, he’s not going to be ready for the second Test. We will tone down the [rehabilitation] program so that he can be ready for the Sri Lankan series,” South Africa’s Test coach Shukri Conrad said from Dhaka as quoted from ESPNcricinfo.

A decision has yet to be made, on whether Bavuma will stay with the squad or return to South Africa to recover from his injury and play domestic cricket. South Africa’s first-class domestic competition will begin next week, and the Lions’, a team where Bavuma plays, will play three matches before the Proteas’ opening Test against Sri Lanka.

“I’d like him to stay [in Bangladesh]and I’ve communicated that with him. But I also know that he’s got a young family. But yes, I’d like him to stay. He still plays a valuable role. It’s still his team. We’ll see how it unfolds,” Conrad added.

Bavuma’s latest setback dates back to earlier this month in an ODI against Ireland. During the match, he fell awkwardly while trying to complete a run. He retired hurt on 35 during that game and didn’t turn up to take the field later in the match. The elbow injury bears similarity to the one that Bavuma sustained on a T20I tour of India in 2022. Later that year, the injury ruled him out of South Africa’s tour of England.

In Bavuma’s place, Matthew Breetzke was called in and received his debut Test cap in Mirpur. There are other possible options available to replace Bavuma, but it will depend on the setup that South African management decides to field. In the opening Test, South Africa forced Bangladesh to pack on 106 in the first innings with a four-bowler attack, which featured two pacers and two spinners.

During the series opener, Kagiso Rabada etched his name in the history book by becoming the quickest to hit 300 Test wickets in terms of ball bowled. Conrad gave a special tribute to the player he called “our superstar Rolls Royce fast bowler.” Rabada took nine wickets in the match and his first five-wicket haul in the subcontinent.

“We are an inexperienced side, but we still need our leaders. KB led from the front there with the ball. He carried this attack, as he has done for quite a while now. And then backed up by some really valuable contributions by others with the ball, and then guys with the bat as well,” Conrad remarked.

  • Balrampur Violence: NHM Employees Union demands action against the culprits, submits memorandum to Chief Minister and Home Minister regarding four-point demands including Rs 1 crore compensation amount

Balrampur. On Thursday, after the death of a youth in custody at the police station located in Balrampur district headquarters of Chhattisgarh, a mob attacked the police station. There was heavy stone pelting and vandalism in the police station. The police dispersed the crowd forcefully by releasing tear gas. Protests by the people of Balrampur continued on the second day of the incident. The Sangh has also warned that if their demands are not met then the Sangh will be forced to fight a street battle to get justice.

Chhattisgarh State National Health Mission Employees Union said in a memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister and the Home Minister, “The case of death in police custody of Gurchand Mandal, working under the National Health Mission office in Balrampur district headquarters, has come to light. Would like to be aware that this case of death in police custody is extremely serious and raises doubts on the functioning of the police personnel concerned. It has come to light that the wife of the deceased employee was missing, instead of searching for her, the police, suspecting the deceased, kept calling him and his family members to the police station repeatedly and putting pressure on him. It has also been reported that he was severely beaten. This type of death is a gross violation of human rights for which strict action should be taken against the culprits.

Chhattisgarh State National Health Mission Employees Union has also placed a four-point demand from the Chief Minister and the Home Minister regarding this matter. The union says that if action is not taken on the demands, there will be anger among all the employees, for which the union will be forced to fight on the streets to get justice.

  • Gyanvapi Mosque Case: Varanasi Court Denies Hindu Side’s Plea For Fresh ASI Survey |

Gyanvapi Mosque Case: The Court of Civil Judge (Senior Division) Fast Track Court, Varanasi on Friday dismissed the Hindu side’s petition seeking an addditional survey of the Gyanvapi complex by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI).

The Hindu side claimed that there is a 100-foot Shivling present under the dome of the mosque and requested an excavation and ASI survey of the establishment. However, advocate Vijay Shankar representing the Hindu side said, “The court has rejected the application for an additional survey of the protection of the whole Gyanvapi area by the ASI.” Shankar further expressed the willingness to take the matter to higher court ‘on an immediate basis’.

“The civil court has rejected and the order is also out… We will go to the district court for revision against this order,” said Subhash Nandan Chaturvedi, one of the lawyers representing the Hindu side.

The ASI survey of most areas of the temple complex has been completed. However, some sections, inaccessible to the machines, remain unsurveyed, according to Chaturvedi. “Hence, an additional survey was demanded,” he explained.

Confident in their prospects, Chaturvedi added, “We will go to the Civil Court and succeed. The survey will take place… We will make sure that the survey of every inch of the temple complex takes place… This is not a setback… We have already presented all the evidence.”

The ongoing legal battle of Lord Visheshwar vs Anjuman Intezamiya Masjid Committee, centered on granting Hindus the right to worship and construct a new temple within the Gyanvapi premises, has been in progress since 1991. Filed by the Hindu side seeking permission to establish a temple within the contested site, the case has lingered in the courts for 33 years. Today, the Muslim side’s legal team concluded their arguments, moving the decades-long case one step closer to a verdict.

Speaking about the payment mechanism between the BRICS member countries, Putin said, “BRICS does not aim to create a separate payment system.
