Mumbai won the toss and chose to bowl at Wankhede Stadium. Kolkata was all out for 169 runs in 19.5 overs. Mumbai team, which came to chase the target, was all out for 145 runs in 18.5 overs. Mitchell Starc took 4 wickets. Whereas Varun Chakraborty, Sunil Narine and Andre Russell got 2-2 wickets. For MI, Suryakumar Yadav played a half-century of 56 runs in 35 balls.
From KKR, Venkatesh Iyer played a half-century inning of 70 runs on 52 balls, while Manish Pandey scored 42 runs on 31 balls. Nuwan Thushara and Jasprit Bumrah took 3-3 wickets. Hardik Pandya took 2 wickets and Piyush Chawla took one wicket.
