After a few days of respite, Delhiites should now be prepared to face the scorching heat.

New Delhi: Sunday was the hottest day of this season in Delhi, so the temperature is going to rise further. According to the Meteorological Department, the mercury may remain around 42 degrees till May 11. However, in the meantime, the possibility of light rain one day has also been expressed.

On Monday, May 6, the maximum temperature is likely to be 41 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature may be 24 degrees. The sky will generally be clear. On May 7, the mercury may rise by one degree and reach 42 degrees Celsius. The minimum temperature will remain till 24. The sky may remain partly cloudy.

The minimum temperature is expected to reach 25 degrees Celsius on May 8. The maximum temperature can remain at 42. There is also a possibility of cloudy sky and light rain on May 9. There may be splashes at some places. Due to light rain, the maximum temperature may drop by one degree for two days. However, the minimum temperature may remain only 25.

The temperature may remain up to 41 degrees on May 10 and once again it will reach 42 degrees on May 11. There is a possibility of partly cloudy sky.

According to the Meteorological Department, there is a possibility of light rain on the night of May 7 due to Western Disturbance. Light showers are likely on May 11 and 12. The temperature is expected to reach 43 degrees in some areas of Delhi-NCR in the coming 4-5 days.
