A case of kidnapping, rape and murder of a three-year-old girl has come to light in Delhi’s Kapashera area. The police identified the accused Anil (34) from the CCTV camera and arrested him from a bus while he was trying to flee to Kanpur.
After confessing his crime, when the body of the girl was recovered at the place indicated by him, the accused snatched the service revolver of the policeman and opened fire on the policemen. In the retaliatory firing, the accused got shot in his leg. After capturing the injured accused, the police admitted him to a nearby hospital for treatment.
The girl lived with her family in Kapashera area. On the night of 22nd May at 8.51 pm, Kapashera police station received a complaint about the girl’s disappearance. The family said that the girl was playing outside the house. During this time, she suddenly disappeared. On the complaint, Kapashera police station registered a case of kidnapping.
The police started looking for the girl. During this, on checking the CCTV cameras of the nearby area, Anil, who lives in the neighborhood, was seen taking the girl with him towards the dirty drain at 7.05 pm. But at 7.25 pm he was seen coming back alone. On this revelation, the police raided Anil’s house. But he was missing from there.

Police caught him through phone surveillance
The police put his phone on surveillance. Technical investigation revealed that the accused was going towards Sohna. The police team took the photo of the accused and started following him in that direction. The police checked many buses and vehicles going on that route. At 11.55 pm, the police caught the accused Anil from inside a bus going to Kanpur. Anil is originally a resident of village Mati, Kanpur, UP.

The police officer said that the accused Anil lives alone in Kapashera area. He is married. He has two children. He used to work as a labourer. Investigation revealed that the accused is crazy. Four years ago, after a domestic dispute, the accused’s wife went to Kanpur with her children. Since then, he lived alone in Kapashera. He used to visit the victim’s family’s house.
The medical board got the girl’s post-mortem done
The police officer said that after the girl’s body was found, the crime and forensic team got it examined. After that, the medical board got her post-mortem done and the body was handed over to the family. The girl’s mother works as a seamstress, while her father works as a shifter. They have a 15-month-old daughter who lives with her maternal grandfather.
