Raipur. The results of the three-phase polling on 11 Lok Sabha seats in Chhattisgarh will be declared tomorrow. The Election Commission’s preparations are in the final stage before the counting of votes. Today, Chief Electoral Officer Reena Baba Saheb Kangale will hold a press conference. The press conference will be held at 12 noon at the Chief Electoral Office, Shastri Chowk. Information will be given on many important topics related to the counting of votes tomorrow on June 4 in the press conference.
The collector took stock of the preparations at the counting venue
The administration’s preparations for counting of votes are in the final stage. Raipur Collector Gaurav Singh inspected the counting center. Counting of votes for the Lok Sabha elections will take place on June 4. Before this, Raipur Collector took stock of the preparations. Arrangements are being made to protect the officers and employees on duty at the counting place from heat stroke. Arrangements have been made for cold water, ORS solution and lemonade. Security forces have also been deployed for security. In which Chhattisgarh Police personnel have been deployed along with Central Security Force.
People got relief from rain amidst scorching heat
As soon as the monsoon entered the country, the weather changed in Chhattisgarh amidst the scorching heat. Light rain occurred in many districts of the state. Due to which the general public got some relief. According to the information, light rain occurred in Jagdalpur, Surguja and Korea districts. Heat wave like conditions were seen in other districts and the temperature was around 45 degrees. According to the Meteorological Department, the temperature may fall in the coming days. Monsoon will enter Chhattisgarh on June 12.
Exhibition of 70 to 100 year old documents from today
Before independence, the then president of Raipur Municipality had passed a resolution and written a letter to the Deputy Commissioner to declare a local holiday on the death anniversary of Lokmanya Tilak and the birthday of Mahatma Gandhi. Many such historical documents can be seen in the capital’s Kala Vithika from June 3.
International Archives Week will be celebrated from 3rd to 9th June in Directorate of Archeology, Archives and Museum, Raipur under Department of Culture. During this period, an exhibition of historical documents of Chhattisgarh region, which are about 70 to 100 years old, will be held in Kala Vithika located in Mahant Ghasidas Memorial Museum, Civil Lines, Raipur. The exhibition can be viewed for free from 3rd to 9th June during office hours. In this 7-day program, on 7th June, there will be lectures by subject experts Dr. Lalatendu Mohapatra, Director Centre for Judicial Archives, Odisha and JK Luthra, National Archives, New Delhi.
