Anger in Satnami society over cutting of Jaitkhambh, memorandum submitted to Raipur and Mahasamund collector, warning of fierce agitation if appropriate action is not taken

Lakshika Sahu, Raipur. The Satnami community reached the Collectorate premises of the capital in large numbers today and submitted a memorandum regarding the damage to the Jaitkhambh. The Satnami community has also met the collector and warned of a fierce agitation if appropriate action is not taken.

At the same time, the angry Satnami community also gheraoed the Mahasamund Collectorate this afternoon. The Satnami community took out a rally from the Patwari office and gheraoed the Collectorate over the cases of damaging the Girodpuri Jaitkhambh, posting objectionable posts against Guru Ghasi Das on social media and the police not taking appropriate action.

Actually, recently a case of cutting the Jaitkhambh (architectural pillar) came to light in Giraudhpuri Dham. Police has also arrested three people in this case. But people of Satnami community have raised questions about the arrests, that the police administration has hastily arrested such people who have nothing to do with Satnami culture.

Let us tell you, regarding this incident, the Satnami community is submitting memorandums to all the districts including Raipur Collector. Along with this, the Satnami community has also warned of fierce agitation in Baloda Bazar and Raipur if appropriate action is not taken.
