    Have you received ‘Emergency Alert’ in your mobile also? Between 12 noon and 1 am on Friday, a message appeared on the smartphone screens of many people along with a loud beep. People have become confused after reading this alert broadcast in Hindi and English languages. It is clearly written in the message that this is a sample test message sent by the Department of Telecommunications of the Government of India through Cell Broadcasting System. Despite this, many people have not been able to understand this message. Let us know what this whole matter is. Did the message appear on people’s phone screens? The message, which flashed with a loud beep between 12 noon and 1 am, started with ‘Emergency Alert’. The message states that (in Hindi) this is a sample test message sent by the Department of Telecommunications, Government of India through Cell Broadcasting System. Please ignore this message as it does not require any action from your end. This message has been sent to verify the Pan India Emergency Alert System testing being implemented by the National Disaster Management Authority. The purpose of this system is to increase public safety and send timely alerts during emergencies. Therefore, the reason for the alert message appearing on people’s phone screens is written in the message sent itself. This means that the government is conducting a test to further increase public safety. This work is being done in collaboration with the National Disaster Management Authority.
