    It is noteworthy that Sanju Samson had scored a brilliant half-century in his recent ODI match. He scored 51 runs in 41 balls in the third and last ODI of the series against West Indies in August.

    KL Rahul will captain

    While announcing the team, selector Ajit Agarkar said that KL Rahul will be the captain in the first two matches of the ODI series against Australia. The first match will be played on 22 September at Punjab Cricket Association IS Bindra Stadium, Mohali. Whereas, the second match of the series will be played on September 24 at Holkar Cricket Stadium, Indore. Along with this, all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja has been named as the vice-captain for the first two matches.

    Rohit Sharma and Virat Kohli will be back in the third match. The last match between India and Australia will be held at Saurashtra Cricket Association Stadium in Rajkot (27 September). Rohit Sharma will captain for the final match.
