    There is important news for the youth looking for government jobs in Chhattisgarh. Chhattisgarh Police Department has recruited 5,967 constable posts and the application process for this has started from today (January 1). Applications will be accepted only in online mode and eligible candidates can register through the official website till 15th February.

    How many posts will be filled in which district?

    According to the official notification, maximum recruitment of 559 posts will be done in Raipur, while 477 posts will be filled in Narayanpur. 390 posts will be filled in Bijapur, 365 in Bastar, 332 in Durg, 259 in Balrampur, 228 in Mohla Manpur Ambagarh outpost, 186 in Gariaband, 177 in Korba, 168 in Bilaspur, 160 in Rajnandgaon and 128 in Balod.     Educational Qualification Criteria?

    Candidates who have passed 10th from a recognized school of Chhattisgarh or Madhya Pradesh are eligible to apply. 8th pass candidates belonging to Scheduled Tribe (ST) category and 5th pass candidates from families of Naxal victims or living in relief camps of Naxal affected areas will also be able to apply. To apply for the post of Constable Driver, candidates must have a Heavy Vehicle Driver’s License and proficiency in the relevant trade for the post of Constable Trade.

    What is the selection process?

    Candidates will be selected for these posts on the basis of physical efficiency test, written examination and document verification. In the written examination, questions related to general knowledge, general awareness, analytical ability and mathematics will be asked. The exam will be of 100 marks. The physical efficiency test will be tested through long jump, high jump, shot put, 100 and 800 meter race. There will be separate exams for driver and trade posts.     How to apply?

    To apply, candidates first go to the official website. Click on the recruitment notification link available on the home page. After this open the application form and upload all the necessary documents in it. Enter all the educational and personal information carefully, then pay the fee and submit the form. For application, general and OBC category candidates will have to pay Rs 200 and SC-ST category candidates will have to pay Rs 125.
