Ashutosh Tiwari, Jagdalpur. On one hand, Lord Shri Ram left the royal family and gave his 14 years to the forest. On the other hand, Narayan of Bastar has also given his 14 years to Lord Ram. However, the number of years may increase further in the future, because Narayan’s goal towards Shri Ram has not been fulfilled yet.

In fact, the faith of Narayan of Bastar is so attached to Lord Ram that he has set a target of writing the name of Shri Ram 1 crore times for chanting. Till now, Shri Ram’s name has been written in the copy more than 67 lakh times. His handwriting is very beautiful and well organized. Anyone will become a fan of his handwriting, because the name has been designed and written in the copy in different ways. This story is of Narayan, a resident of Karitgaon, located about 10 kilometers away from Jagdalpur city.

For the happiness, peace and prosperity of the house, Narayan has set a target of writing and chanting the name of Ram 1 crore times. Till now he has written 67 lakh 75 thousand names of Ram and is continuously working on writing. Narayan told that his best friend encouraged him to write the name of Shri Ram. After this he reached Jagdalpur city and took a copy pen and started writing from 9.30 am on 7 January 2011.

He told that he is feeling a lot of peace inside by writing the name and after starting writing, he has also got a son. They consider this as their fruit. He said that as soon as his target of Rs 1 crore is achieved. After that they will prepare to go to Ayodhya. On the occasion of the inauguration of Ram temple to be held in Ayodhya on January 22, light a lamp at home and take blessings from him. Narayan said that Ram’s name is chanted from birth till death and even after death, Ram’s name remains with him, hence he is doing the work of writing.
