    Rain Alert in Bihar: The Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has said that heavy rains are likely to continue in Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and many other states for the next two days. At the same time, due to continuous rains in Nagpur, Maharashtra, there was severe waterlogging in low-lying areas, due to which NDRF and SDRF teams have been deployed for rescue operations. In its forecast, IMD has also given the weather condition of the rest of the country.

    Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Saturday said more than 400 people, including 40 students of a school with hearing and speech impairments, were rescued after heavy rains left low-lying areas flooded in Nagpur. He also said that an elderly woman and 14 cattle lost their lives due to the rains. NDRF safely evacuated six people from Ambazari lake area of ​​the city.

    Weather condition of other states of India

    >> There is a possibility of heavy rain at isolated places in West Bengal, Sikkim and Bihar on September 24. At the same time, there is a possibility of heavy rainfall in Andaman and Nicobar on 26th and 27th September. There is also a possibility of heavy rainfall in the north-eastern states of Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on September 24. Heavy rainfall has been predicted at isolated places in eastern and western Madhya Pradesh as well as Vidarbha on September 24 and in Chhattisgarh till September 25.

    >>The Meteorological Department has said that there was heavy rain in some parts of Odisha on Saturday. The cyclonic circulation over Jharkhand along with active monsoon is likely to cause more rainfall over the state during the next two days. HR Biswas, director of the Regional Meteorological Centre, said the rains have most affected Bhubaneswar, Cuttack and Mayurbhanj districts.

    >> It rained with strong winds in some parts of Delhi on Saturday, providing respite from the humid heat to the people living in the national capital. Nearby cities Noida and Gurugram also received heavy rains along with strong winds throughout the day. It rained after being cloudy in many parts of the national capital including East Delhi, Shahdara, North-East Delhi, South Delhi.

    >> Nagpur received about 90 mm of rain between 2 am and 4 am. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert in the district for the next 24 hours. As a precautionary measure, the administration has also declared holiday in schools and colleges. Nagpur Municipal Corporation has asked people not to come out of their homes unless necessary. Due to continuous rain, many roads of the city are flooded.

    >> Continuous rain in Jharkhand since Wednesday has taken the life of one person. Normal life has been disrupted due to flooding of roads, falling of trees and electric poles.
    The official said the rains have washed away many culverts and bridges, affecting traffic in many parts of the state.
