CG CRIME: Cheating of Rs 77 lakh in the name of getting a job, now the accused is behind bars.

Manendra Patel, Durg. A case of cheating of Rs 77 lakh from different people in the name of getting a job has come to light. Police have arrested the accused. This accused has already gone to jail on charges like assault, theft and molestation. It is being told that after the fraud, the accused used that money to fulfill his luxuries.

Utai police station in-charge Kapil Dev Singh said, the accused were being searched in two different cases. Absconding accused of Section 420, 34 IPC and Section 420, 120B IPC, Vikas Rajput alias Sonu, father of Narendra Singh, aged about 30 years, who is a resident of Borsi Colony MIG 2-66 A. The team was sent to Karnataka to arrest the accused. Accused Vikas got wind of this and ran away from there and hid in the fort, which was surrounded and detained by the police team ACCU.

During interrogation, the accused told that he used to cheat people of lakhs in the name of employing them for his luxury. The accused, along with his brother Naveen Singh Rajput, used to cheat people. After the crime was registered in Utai police station three years ago and brother Naveen Singh was arrested, Vikas Singh had absconded due to fear of arrest. Accused Vikas Singh was duly arrested and sent on judicial remand. Accused Vikas Singh has previously gone to jail for molesting a minor girl and stealing sand and selling it.
