Case of assault in apartment heated up in the capital: Angry people surrounded the police station, recited Hanuman Chalisa on the road, said – strict action should be taken against the accused.

Shivam Mishra, Raipur. The issue of fighting has heated up in Virasat Apartment located in Khamhardih of the capital. After the dispute over overspeeding, angry people surrounded the police station today. Actually, the dispute between Santosh Jain, a resident of Vijay Nagar, Khamhardih, took place at around 11 pm on January 26 regarding driving a car at high speed near Telibandha Jaitkhamb. After this dispute, a large number of accused entered the house of Santosh Jain in Virasat Apartment and carried out the incident of assault. Santosh Jain was thrown out of the house and beaten mercilessly, CCTV footage of which was also revealed.

After this entire incident, the police arrested four accused and presented them in the court, but the accused were released on bail from the court. Local residents allege that the police has benefited the accused by taking action on minor sections, due to which the criminals are becoming more emboldened. If strict action had been taken against the accused, they would not have got bail today.

Vishwa Hindu Parishad, Bajrang Dal and other social organizations along with local residents surrounded the police station today regarding this matter. Local residents gathered in large numbers and started shouting slogans, seeing which a large number of police forces including SDM, Additional SP were deployed.

Angry protesters raised slogans at Khamhardih Chowk. Khamhardih Chowk was completely closed and Hanuman Chalisa was recited, due to which there was a long jam on the road for hours. Pedestrians had to face problems due to long traffic jams at Shankar Nagar Chowk, Kachna Road, Avanti Vihar Road.
