Now regarding this accident, Pant has said that after the horrific car accident that happened 13 months ago, he was afraid of losing his right leg. In the accident, the ligament of Pant’s right knee got torn and he suffered two injuries on his forehead. At that time, he had just returned from Bangladesh after playing an important role in India’s victory in the Mirpur Test. This 26 year old wicketkeeper batsman has been away from cricket since then.
While talking to Star Sports, he said that if any nerve was damaged, there was a fear of losing his leg. I was scared at that time. Pant said, I had taken an SUV, but later it appeared to be a sedan. Recalling the accident, he said that his right knee bone had slipped and he was in a lot of pain.
He said, I asked if there was anyone around who could help in putting the leg back in place. He helped me get my knee in the right place. Two persons, Rajat Kumar and Nishu Kumar, rescued Pant from his SUV which was later in flames. Pant said, ‘For the first time in my life I felt like this. I was aware of the injury at the time of the accident, but I was lucky because it could have been more serious.
When will Pant return to the field?
However, Rishabh Pant is absolutely fit now. Pant has also shared many videos while doing exercises for his fans. Recently, he participated on behalf of Delhi Capitals in the mini auction held in Dubai.
