India Canada Row: The tension in the relations between India and Canada is continuously increasing. And this tension does not seem to be reducing from anywhere at the moment. Both the countries have already expelled each other’s top diplomats. Meanwhile, many Khalistan supporters have started protesting against the killing of terrorist Hardeep Singh Nijjar. On Monday, many Khalistani supporters demonstrated against the killing of Nijjar. During this, they waved Khalistani flags and raised slogans. The crowd also demonstrated outside the Indian Consulate. In view of the demonstration, the security of the Indian Embassy has been increased. Police have put up barricades on the roads leading to the embassy.
Protest against Nijjar’s murder continues
The World Sikh Organization is also loudly protesting against the killing of Khalistani terrorist Nijjar. World Sikh Organization chief Tejinder Singh Sidhu has demanded to trace the killers of Nijjar. The protesting people say that their demonstration will continue. India has told its citizens living in Canada that negative sentiments are growing there regarding the murder of Nijjar. In such a situation, people should take full care of their safety. Canadian PM Trudeau had accused India of murder
Let us tell you, tension between India and Canada had increased after Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau made very serious allegations regarding the possible involvement of Indian spies in the murder of Khalistani separatist leader Hardeep Singh Nijjar on June 18 in British Columbia. However, India had termed these allegations as absurd and malicious. At the same time, taking action after the expulsion of an Indian diplomat from Canada, the Canadian diplomat was also expelled from the country.
Canada’s Defense Minister expressed concern over India’s move
Here, Canadian Defense Minister Bill Blair has expressed his concern over the steps being taken by India including suspension of visa services for Canadians. Meanwhile, Blair has requested India to fully cooperate in the investigation of the murder of a Sikh separatist leader, to uncover the truth and work together to resolve the matter appropriately. He said in an interview that we believe we have very credible intelligence that we are very concerned about and the Royal Canadian Mounted Police have begun an investigation.
