So far 401.2 mm average rainfall has been recorded in the state

According to the information compiled by the state level control room set up by the Revenue and Disaster Management Department of the state government, an average rainfall of 401.2 mm has been recorded in the state since June 1, 2024. According to the rainfall recorded in various districts of the state from June 1, 2024 till today morning 23 July, the highest average rainfall of 972.2 mm has been recorded in Bijapur district and the lowest average rainfall of 150.7 mm has been recorded in Surguja district. Whereas the average annual rainfall of the state is 1236 mm.

Urkura and Kukda railway gates are temporarily closed

For the repair work of Urkura-Sarona Up Bypass Line Level Crossing No. 415 Urkura Gate of Raipur Railway Division, this level crossing will be temporarily closed from 8 am on 25 July to 8 am on 27 July. 75 percent of target chemical fertilizers distributed to farmers

Distribution of various types of chemical fertilizers to farmers is going on in the state for the current Kharif season. As of 22 July 2024, more than 10 lakh 28 thousand metric tonnes of fertilizers have been distributed to the farmers, which is 75 percent of the target. The fertilizers distributed include 4 lakh 59 thousand 488 metric tonnes of urea, 2 lakh 70 thousand 735 metric tonnes of DAP, one lakh 25 thousand metric tonnes of NPK, 35 thousand 16 metric tonnes of potash and one lakh 28 thousand 500 metric tonnes of super phosphate.

For the current Kharif season, a target of distributing 13 lakh 68 thousand metric tonnes of fertilizer to farmers through cooperative and private sector has been set in the state, against which 14 lakh 0.5 thousand metric tonnes have been stored so far. 10.28 lakh metric tonnes of fertilizer has been distributed against the storage. Fertilizer is being distributed to farmers easily by societies and private vendors. Farmers are not facing any kind of problem. Senior officials are keeping a strict vigil on fertilizer seed distribution.
