Another innocent dies of diarrhea: Villagers forced to drink well water, 10 people in the village suffer from diarrhea

Virendra Gahwai, Bilaspur. The cases of deaths due to diarrhea in the district are not stopping. Late night again a 2-year-old innocent child died of diarrhea in Masturi area. The family of the child, who was suffering from vomiting and diarrhea since last night, was taking him to the community health center for treatment, during which he died. On the apprehension of diarrhea outbreak in the village, the health department staff has reached the spot and started investigation.

Rajkumar Kevart, a resident of village Budhikhar in Masturi development block, has three children, including two elder daughters and a two-year-old son Veer Kevart. Suddenly at night, the son started vomiting and having diarrhea, the family took him to the hospital in Malhar, where the doctor, seeing the child’s critical condition, immediately referred him to the community health center in Masturi. The child died while being taken to Masturi.

Villagers are not getting clean water

According to information, 8 to 10 people around the house of the dead child are suffering from diarrhea. There is no government hand pump in Kewat Mohalla of Budhikhar, so the villagers are forced to drink water from an open well in the village. The villagers are not getting clean drinking water, which has exposed all the government claims of tap water scheme and other clean water supply schemes.
