Ashutosh Tiwari, Jagdalpur. To further strengthen connectivity with Raipur, the capital of Bastar region, the demand for construction of four-lane road between Jagdalpur and Raipur is going to be fulfilled soon. BJP state president Kiran Singh Dev has announced that an agreement has been reached with the central government regarding this project and the Vishnudev government had given this proposal to the National Highways Ministry. The proposal has been approved by the National Highways Ministry and soon the construction work of four-lane road between Dhamtari and Jagdalpur will be started.
Under this project, an approximately 11 km long flyover will be built on the Keshkal Ghat. This will not only protect the environment but will also provide permanent relief to the people from the frequent traffic jams in Keshkal and the problems caused by it. The government is moving fast in this direction. Permanent solutions can be found for every problem and issue of Bastar. The advantage of having a double engine government is that it is easier for the central government to move towards a clear solution to the issues. BJP President Kiran Dev has claimed that this work will be started soon.
It is worth mentioning that the work of four lane on National Highway 30 from Raipur to Dhamtari has been completed and for a long time the local people have been demanding to extend it from Dhamtari to Jagdalpur. This will not only benefit the business but also the passengers. Because it used to take people at least 6 hours to reach the state capital Raipur from Bastar, this time will be reduced after the construction of four lane road, along with this, accidents caused by the movement of heavy vehicles will also be eliminated. After the construction of Nagarnar Steel Plant, the local people were repeatedly pressurizing the political parties to complete the work of four lane soon.
