Raipur. Congress has intensified preparations for the upcoming Jammu and Kashmir Assembly elections-2024. Along with the selection of nine candidates for the first phase, now All India Mahila Congress observers have also been appointed.
In this connection, National President Alka Lamba has ordered the appointment of women leader Preeti Upadhyay Shukla from Chhattisgarh as All India Mahila Congress observer of 53-Doda West constituency. Earlier, the national leadership had given her the responsibility of Simdega and Gumla in Jharkhand. In view of her excellent working style, she has again been given national level responsibility.
Preeti Upadhyay Shukla has expressed her thanks and gratitude to leader of the people Rahul Gandhi, National President Mallikarjun Kharge, former President Sonia Gandhi, General Secretary (Organization) KC Venugopal, General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi, National President of Women Congress Alka Lamba, former Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel, Leader of Opposition Charandas Mahant, Chhattisgarh Pradesh Congress President Deepak Baij and Rajya Sabha MP and Chhattisgarh Pradesh Women Congress President Phulo Devi Netam for this appointment.
Let us tell you that voting for the 90 assembly seats of Jammu and Kashmir will be held in three phases. The first phase will be on 18 September, the second phase on 25 September and the third phase on 1 October.
