Raipur. Adani Foundation has started a community afforestation campaign with the objective of environmental protection and green environment in the areas around Adani Power Limited, Raipur. Under this, a massive plantation program was organized on Saturday on the theme ‘Ek Ped Maa Ke Naam’ running in the state. In this, 2500 saplings were planted in the first phase of the target of planting five thousand saplings in the Gauthan of village Mohrenga.
In this campaign of Adani Foundation, Sarpanch of Gram Panchayat Mohrenga Sarju Ram Sahu, Deputy Sarpanch Laxman Tripathi, Lekhu Sen, former Sarpanch Chicholi Rajkumar Thakur and Panchgan including Adani Power Limited Station Head Shrikant Vaidya participated. Apart from this, Pradeep Mohapatra, Avinash Apalwal, Bhaskar Prasad, Rajesh Upadhyay, Naveen Kumar, Bhupendra Singh Bais, etc., other officers and employees of the plant participated enthusiastically in planting saplings and took an oath to protect the saplings planted by them.
