Inter-state gang making fake liquor busted, police arrested 12 accused

Amit Pandey, Khairagarh. Khairagarh district police has exposed an interstate gang making fake liquor. So far, 12 accused of the gang running a fake liquor factory in the district have been arrested. Khairagarh Superintendent of Police Trilok Bansal said that Jaikaran Gurupanch, a resident of village Khunteli Kala of Chhuikhadan, along with his partner Narsingh Verma of Vicharpur and Vinod Soni of Udaipur, were running the business of making fake liquor for many days. The police had already arrested seven accused involved in the business, after which a big disclosure of this interstate illegal business of making fake liquor has been made.

This illegal business of fake liquor has links with Nagpur, Maharashtra. Rohit Babar and Mohammad Shamim, residents of Nagpur, used to provide stickers, holograms and caps similar to those of real liquor to Jai Narayan Gurupanch of Khuntelikala, after which these accused used to make fake country white liquor by mixing spirit and chemicals in a poultry farm under Thana Parpodi area in Bemetara district of Chhattisgarh.

The accused used to fill the synthetic tank with fake liquor and bring it to a private farm house in village Raunda of Durg district for bottling. After which, with the help of some Kochias and their salesmen, this fake liquor was sold in the rural areas of various districts. After exposing the interstate gang and arresting twelve accused, the Superintendent has said that more accused associated with the gang will be arrested.
