Emotional meeting of Naxal-affected people with Union Home Minister, appreciation of Chhattisgarh government’s sensitivity

Raipur. A delegation of about 70 Naxal victims from Bastar region of Chhattisgarh met Union Home Minister Amit Shah at his residence today. These people affected by Naxal violence shared their ordeal and demanded justice and rehabilitation. The delegation was led by Bastar Shanti Samiti, which is working for peace and development in Naxal-affected areas in the state. Many of these people have lost their family members at the hands of Naxalites, some have lost their limbs, and some have become completely disabled. This delegation will also meet President Draupadi Murmu on September 21. In this meeting, discussions will be held for permanent peace and development in Naxal-affected areas. The delegation members will submit a memorandum to the President, demanding deployment of security forces, speeding up development work, and rehabilitation of families affected by Naxal violence.
