Both the farmer organisations are leading the ‘Delhi Chalo’ march to pressurise the government to accept their demands, including a legal guarantee of minimum support price for crops. The protesting farmers have been camping at the Shambhu and Khanauri borders between Punjab and Haryana since February 13, when security forces stopped their march.
